Lyrics:
Your eyes tell me how you love me
Can feel it in your heart beat
I know you like what you see
Hold me, I'll give that you need
Wrap your love around me
You're so excited, I can feel you
Getting hotter, oh baby
I'll take you down, I'll take you down
Where no one's ever gone before
And if you want more, if you want more
Jump for my love
Jump in and feel my touch
Jump you want to taste my kisses
In the night then - เพลง
It’s 2024. Still doesn’t get better than this. No autotune no anything but talent. Three absolute queens! Never gets old!
Love ty hem and this song. Oh yeah!!!!
All the 'Queens' in Australia, on the GLBTI+ scene, loved this trio and their hit song JUMP. Even more so, when performed by 3 blokes in full drag known as 'The Troll Dolls' who rose to fame in the early 1980s in Melbourne performing in pubs and nightclubs around town.
Never gets old. This is gold forever.
so beautiful

They're real Divas forever.
I still listen to these amazing ladies 2024, and will forever. They were amazing, talented, funny and great singers.🇨🇦❤️👏🥰
I still love the Pointer Sisters and this song all these years later.
wow
RIP the three members of The Pointer Sisters
Anita Pointer (January 23, 1948 - December 31, 2022), aged 74
Bonnie Pointer (July 11, 1950 - June 8, 2020), aged 69
June Pointer (November 30, 1953 - April 11, 2006), aged 52
You will be remembered as legends.
😢
@@monke.2191 Dam neither of them were all that old.
It's not like everyone or most born those years are dead.
😢😢😢
I always wondered what these tight harmonies would have sounded like with 4-part harmony with Bonnie. I just wonder, and that would have been super awesome.
So upsetting.
Last I Google their activities.
Both of the sisters were touring with one of their daughters as the group 😭😭😭
To read this, upsetting 🙏🏾
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
My son loved this song he passed away in 2004. Always makes me smile when I hear it.
Your son is upstairs dancing in heaven to this ❤❤❤
😮It's his anniversary today and I am listening to it again. This time I am teary. Miss him so much xx
The music world decided to Jump for The Pointer Sisters 40 years ago. This song/video will always remain a classic!
Miss you June pointer
There was no one like June, before, now, and there will NEVER be another MISS June Pointer.
I love these sisters from Oakland CA the Pointer Sisters, still rocking this song in 2024🌹⚜️🇺🇸
I love Oakland California
Not only were these women attractive but also talented.
How can you not love these ladies?😂❤
This somg takes me back to summer of 1984. We went to San Diego,California for vacation. Magic Mountain,Summer Olympics and I saw the Ocean for the 1st time. Prince's Purple Rain was also on the charts too. Take me back please!!!!
Thanks for sharing memories of long ago and, for me, far away. One of the delights of TH-cam comments.
This song starts with a similar beat to "Baby I'm a Star"
Omg I went to Magic Mountain the summer of 84 after an Olympic event. Though it would be a while before my parents would allow me to see Purple Rain 🤣
Fantastic!
The Pointer Sisters were phenomenal! And the 80s rule!
It IS sad we lost 3 Pointer Sisters, but hey people, Ruth is still with us! Don’t forget her!
STILL ‼️
One of my favorite disco music.....jump ‼️
This is among the great songs of all time. Their vocals are just unbelievable.
Absolutely agreed. They were fantastic singers!! And this song has so much energy!!
They sang the hell out of this song!
Nothing beats the 80s. Back when music was music. ❤

It's one of my all-time greats, and always will be.
Listening in September 2024 Pointer Sisters never get old.❤
I adore the Pointer Sisters. June is my favorite. Tragic how she passed. Glad her sisters were with her. In the end, love is all you've got.
Now there's only one left, Ms. Ruth. This group is part of my childhood growing up in the Early 80s. R.I.P. Ms. Anita ❤🌹🙏
I'm an ancient white guy from south Chicago, and this has been my favorite song since I first heard it all those years ago. I love these three women for the joy and happiness they have brought me. It's love in the real sense, and I know there are many more out there just like me. God bless...
Capri's Pizza and Hienie's South Chgo
I am an old white woman. This is a classic you will remember and want to dance with these talented beautiful ladies forever! Love from Motown
You are clearly a man of taste and refinement. They brought me that same joy in the 80's. They owned MTV with this album, and pumped us up for a night of dancing in my 30's...part of our regular getting ready to hit the town routine. At 70 I still feel that same excitement and anticipation listening to them now!
Ancient white chick from south africa ...feel the same😍💃
I'm a metalhead and even I like it.
We will all be listening to this music forever. It's timeless and truthful.
One of the greatest female groups of all time❤
I'm 76 and still jumping to the Point Sisters. Hard to sit still when you hear them. We don't need any hall of fame to tell us they are great. The whole world already knows and agrees on it. These talented and classy ladies are timeless.
You can't help it. Their music was so good. Sounds as good now as the day it was released
Agree, but the Pointer Sisters do belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They haven’t been given the credit they deserve as a great vocal group. They proved they could sing any genre of music and do it well!
75 now and I remember dancing in the Clubs the these ladies who oozes sex appeal … soo wonderful
@@paulmichaeledwards6714 Same. Great memories. They are timeless.
Dude I wanna be just like you when I grow up. 74 and counting! The 70s are the new 50s right? Get busy out on the floor buddy. School those kids brutha 😮 3:12 🎉

I was 5 years old in 1984 when this song 🎵 came out and i so remember hearing it all over the radios 📻 back then too 💯💯💯💯 take me back to the 80s please 🙏🏻
I was 4, but same! It always makes me happy. Didn't they use it on a Bounce commercial? I have a distinct memory of that for some reason.
Oh, my gosh, what has it been? 40 years since this song came out? And it still gives me goose bumps and makes me feel happy - just like it did the first time I heard it! Love The Pointer Sisters!!!❤
Me too, those were the good old days when music was fun and exciting.❤😊 🎧🎶🎶🎶🎶
So, so, so true!! I remember listening to these songs while driving with my Mom in the car in the early 80's. I think she always really enjoyed it when these tunes came on--as did I, as a little 5yr-old kid, haha!
Ditto ditto ditto!😂❤
Those ladies can get my old 79 year old body jumpin. This song will never get “OLD”‼️‼️
I could have been dancing too . Not now @71. You go through.❤
NEVER!!!! Still dance around the house whenever I hear this song.
I still do aerobics to this song. Been doing it for 40 yrs.😊
Just the thought of that makes me nauseous.
I always go wild for those Sisters and Sister Sledge. It was such an amazing time with Queen Donna, Village People, Debarge, Chic, Voyage... Stars of the Disco era
If you don't like the Pointer Sisters, there's something wrong with you. Just great.
They were classy, hot, and had great singing voices. Sad to hear some of them had drug issues latter but this time period was their best. So hot too, did I already mention that?
2024 anybody? If you're listening to this, you have excellent taste in music, seriously.
This song is incredible:
Honestly, I 'm not sure if it's just really that good, or bc I grew up and was a toddler when this song was released, is that why it makes me jazzed up?
I don't know - I guess I don't need to worry about that! :)
amen!
I'm listening in 2026
Oui
Thank you! They don't make Olympic themes like these anymore! Let's bring musical-motivational GREATNESS back!
Rest in peace Anita Pointer. We shall continue rocking to your timeless songs.
Man I was like 19 or 20 years old when this song was hitting the radio, but on MTV and VH1 , was the video and boy did I have a crush on the lead singer, she was so fine looking to me , man I talking about the 80 , once again I say I was in love with that LADY...🤗😏🤔👍👍👍....

We did aerobic-dance to this song, at least 1000 times....😅😅😅😅 40 years ago. What a great music and time!
She's singing the hell outta this song and her dance moves are perfect. You can tell she's lead and dances like she owns it.
Their producer,( Richard Perry) usually chose June P.to sing lead on most of their songs.

The whole decade was!! 🤩🤩
single shot of them being in the same spot yet their energy + emotion makes it feel so dynamic and fresh. love them
This song and video are incredible. The way the 3 sisters voices complimented each other, and the energy they showed while singing the song. Just all the different notes they hit, and having clips of these guys who were amazing athletes jumping just goes with song so well. I'm 47 and still love this video and song.

The greatest dance song ever--it has everything: the opening like a crescendo, a comet coming at you, the vocals, the beat, the synth fills from heaven--it has the power to bridge gaps between generations on the dance floor with no let up, no down time--only It takes two by Rob Base or September by EWF can come close...
Listening to these vintage classic songs by Black American musicians is truly an emotional experience. The impact that Black Americans have had on American music and culture is immense, and it's essential to recognize and appreciate their invaluable contributions. The Pointer Sisters, in particular, have crafted numerous hits that have left a lasting imprint on the American music landscape and culture. It's disheartening to see that their names may not be acknowledged as much as they deserve, considering their significant musical influence. It's crucial to shine a spotlight on these talented artists and ensure that their legacy is recognized and celebrated for the remarkable contributions they have made to the rich tapestry of American music.
If I'm not mistaken, there are plenty who are acknowledged and I thin The Pointers were.
Absolutely! We owe so much to these amazing artists!
@lastwarning1 Who didn't give the Pointer Sister's a reference track so it was them who had to bring life to the song and make it their own.
So many wonderful R&B and Pop Artists from the 80's and 90's. Hasn't been another time when we got so much great music.
@@lastwarning1 Neither Marti Sharron, Gary Skardina, Stephen Mitchell or Richard Perry could sing. Aside from Perry who was very talented at best they could carry a tune and were all failed acts. So the Pointer Sisters did a lot of heavy lifting on this track, and pretty much all their songs. All that ad-libbing from the lead singers, taking us to church? Yeah the producers and the writers didn't have any of that in the "reference" track.
What a banger! This is one of those songs that instantly make you a bit happier.
Of the entire "Breakout" lineup, Ruth is the only current survivor as of Friday 6-9-23.
I was 11yrs old when this came out & saw the music video on TV. My 1st stepmom had the Breakout cassette & got to listen to it in her car, worth it.
I can't help but jump to this hit still at 50yrs old today.
RIP June, Bonnie & Anita. Jump well in 😇.
Vi este vídeo pela primeira vez em 1984, em Brasília, onde morava, em um programa de tv que passava videoclips e achei bem moderno na época.
I was 11 too in 1984 when this came out! It was huge then!
What a beautiful, so very talented group of ladies. Great music. You ladies will be remembered forever.

The Pointer Sisters are so underrated, isn't even funny, they should have been more famous, lots of great songs.
shamanbear Back in the 80’s they weren’t underrate but they aren’t mentioned much since the 90’s.
Gustavo Machado this is one of my favorite songs ever - and I'm from the forties!
Gustavo Machado: This song is so uplifting. It would make every man on death row dance around his cell whilst dreaming of being in the company of these spectacular ladies.
Hell naw they ain't underrated. Look at all the movie soundtracks...
They are not underrated, they are one of the greatest Girl groups in history. They did their thing in the 80's, like what the Supremes did in the 60's, as the only Girl Group to challenge the Beatles and Elvis Presley, and held their own. For the Pointer Sisters, it was Van Halen, Journey, Foreigner, despite going all pop from the different variety/genre of music they used to do, and still held their own against the boys!!!
