I like how Fast and Furious started with a simple plot, with the illegal street racing thing....... but for some reason, it became a plot about a group of people saving society.

thing is, I wasn't a fan of the early ones really. I watch fast and furious for the insane dumbness of it all.

To be fair, it still has that car centric feel even with the more focus on action in the later movies.
Looking at the behind the scenes, there are a ton of specific cars that not many people would pay attention to in other movies.
Seriously, seeing the drag race between the 1966 Charger and Foxbody Mustang was what made F9 for me.
