I’m an Amazon DSP driver. I started in November 2023. I deliver in the same town almost every and I definitely know my regulars by now. We love our UPS driver!! His name is Austin. My dad runs his own company from home, always has, even before the pandemic started. We get a lot of deliveries from UPS and FedEx so we’ve gotten to know Austin over the years.
I feel the same way about being a delivery driver been doing it since I turned 21 and I’m 42 now and have driven and delivered for DHL delivery services, FedEx Ground, Amazon Dsp deliveries and I just started working at UPS as a pre loader in hopes to get my seniority and be offered a Package Car driver position, I love each and every one of my customers I’ve had the honor of delivering to and their packages are extremely important to me that they get the best delivery experience possible, making to UPS has been a dream since I was a child and saw my Grandfather in the Brown uniform and the Big brown truck, I hope to make it there myself in a few years, just working for UPS feels great even though I just work in the warehouse for now loading the packages for the Brother and sister drivers, I’ll End this by saying God Bless this Brother Delivery Driver and may he enjoy his retirement with happiness and Good health. God Bless Everyone Who reads this as well.
Good for him. He made it to that finish line we're all looking forward to. Strange how organized the Ups truck looks every time there are news crews around though. In reality, it is pure hot chaos behind that bulkhead door on a daily basis.
I wish you a very happy retirement, You are older than me by five years, I joined the military and retired from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in the span of your career!! Thank you for your service to the valley and the accident free record of over 1 million miles driven!!
God bless you brother! 15 years with UPS! I know what he has been through thru. He is blessed to be able to do it for so long. I'll never make 50 years. What an inspiration to me!
I wish I can work for UPS but in Florida it’s hard to get in and the job isn’t available, but I have experience as a delivery driver because of amazon and now I’m a truck driver for Schneider as my very trucking job and it’s hard. That’s my next career local job when I have a year of experience in trucking.
Good for him. 50 year is a very long time and doing the in hot AZ is even more difficult. Way to show these young kats how it's done. Hopefully they've taken notes
I’m an Amazon DSP driver based out of Carle Place NY (Long Island). I don’t know how delivery drivers in places like Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles do it in the summer months. That heat is brutal. NY summers are gross. Very high humidity and it doesn’t cool off even at night. It’s unrelenting heat and humidity for months on end.
He's cut from a different cloth. He comes from a time when men were actually men and went out to work everyday to put food on the table under all types of challenges.
probably because any sliver of the american dream is dead.... we will never own a home... be slaves to corparations and we will watch all of our tax dollars head over to the foreverwars.... something to be said about unions though
and national debt due to the forever wars.... one pay check away from finacial ruin due to not owning a home and possible medical bills.... but thank gawd we took away a womans right to choose.
He gonna have a rude awakening in retirement...for some reason all the ups retirees just fall apart to shambles...the job the only thing keeping them alive ... But hopefully he gets to enjoy them Golden years 🙏✌️
Man people really had it easy to stick with something back then. Nowadays the younger generation is less grateful for what they have and the fact that there is an abundance of opportunities makes it hard to commit to just one thing lol
The days of retirement are over... the last of his kind.... the next generation will work these jobs but never be able to own a home.... good for the boomer.... math is not needed to be a driver and ignorance is bliss..... those were the days
50 years of deliveries in Arizona and he's still alive, it's an unprecedented miracle in this world. Congratulations you're alive
@Trump4prisonxxx bold liar right here. Disgusting
For 70 Years old, that man is in excellent shape and moves fast. Better shape than alot of other people who are still really young.
I love the UPS drivers… they are always polite, and helpful if you have questions!

@@BobbyFocus2008 how is it going man, you still working there as a pckg handler or did you get an opportunity to deliver?

My boy must be a multi-millionnaire by now 😂
Probably, actually.
50 years holy. Mad respect (ups driver here 4.5 years under my belt) gave me some motivation. Enjoy the retirement Mark.

I got my first road test with ups I’m 37 I tried to get in ever since I was 18 it would have been 20 for me but still appreciative gratitude for me

It a tough job & That's great. I'm only doing 30 yrs & no more. Im halfway there
What an undeniable hero.
Did you mention that none of the UPS delivery trucks have no A/C? 115 degrees F and you always see them driving down the road both both doors open.
wow that's awesome congratulations from teamsters local 135
Good job!!

They would fire him if he stopped, i've seen it before. glad he made it out of this hell hole company
2:21 Yup. Smart man.
nope lucky
He's cut from a different cloth.
He comes from a time when men were actually men and went out to work everyday to put food on the table under all types of challenges.
they were paid well and things were affordable dummy ...also unions
Well deserved. Enjoy man 💪🏼
everybody deserves to retire and make a living wage... I am pretty sure the union of his time thought this as well..... thats why he did well
I've heard UPS has a decent pension plan.
I’m sure he is probably retiring a millionaire, I know quite few UPS retirees who are
50 yrs in package and No AC in the truck . 😏
this guys pension is trough the roof. at ups usually u can retire with full pension after 30ish years. respect to him he deserved it long time ago.
Tbh hopefully he doesn’t suffer from health problems after . I notice when people like mark work and they stopped they get sick
Will he get his retirement
Old school American work ethic unfortunately today that's disappearing!
probably because any sliver of the american dream is dead.... we will never own a home... be slaves to corparations and we will watch all of our tax dollars head over to the foreverwars.... something to be said about unions though
Really crazy
With his union seniority he's make 678 dollars an hour 🤣
exactly
I am that satturated with fears
and national debt due to the forever wars.... one pay check away from finacial ruin due to not owning a home and possible medical bills.... but thank gawd we took away a womans right to choose.
I think he should move into administration or corporate training for the company.. working easier not harder!
He got out just in time.
*Missed out on the big raise.*
He gonna have a rude awakening in retirement...for some reason all the ups retirees just fall apart to shambles...the job the only thing keeping them alive ... But hopefully he gets to enjoy them Golden years 🙏✌️
❤
UPS driving is a luck of the draw in a lot of respects , not sure why you would want to work that many years ?
They dont hire deaf or hard of hearings with drivers license...discrimination
Enjoy retirement life Mark! You set the hours now 🙏🏽☺️ ⏰️ 📖 🚲
Gabe Burg
Letsssss gooooo
Yes they will fire him it’s ups
Luckily for him, he never came across any urban wakandian scholars.
And they barely hired the pay
They nothing at all period we can do.
man..hes prolly made 200k a year
Man people really had it easy to stick with something back then. Nowadays the younger generation is less grateful for what they have and the fact that there is an abundance of opportunities makes it hard to commit to just one thing lol
Thanks for not tapping into the pension system when u could've.
