Greatest comedy series ever! There have been some fantastic ones over the years such as Blackadder and Some Mother's Do Ave Em, but this tops everything.
David Beckham was a fantastic sport for doing this. I think he fitted in really well, he must have been like a giddy little boy getting to do Only Fools and Horses with Del and Rodney!
You can tell John Sullivan didn't write this sketch because the script wasn't as interesting and inventive as it usually is. But as usual, they still performed it fantastically. Gutted Trig and Boyce weren't in this one too...RIP Trigger.
The Sport Relief Only Fools & Horses sketch was written by the sons of John Sullivan, Jim & Dan that included previously unused material written by their father. What an undertaking it must've been for both Jim & Dan.
Trigger was actually in it, before Roger Lloyd Pack passed :( He was due to walk past them in the cafe and go "Alright Dave" to which BOTH Rodney and David Beckham would say "Alright Trig."
I'd love to see one more episode when del get married finally ,Rodney's little girl be bridesmaid ,think be great way to finish off the greatest comedy ever was in the British history 🙏🙏
A nice idea but John Sullivan died years ago. Rest assured if anyone else tried to write it it wouldn't be any near as good.. It would actually ruin what is a fantastic comedy. I believe it should be left alone

Personally id see if David and Nicholas wanted to write it but with the greatest respect it wouldnt be as good I dont think but on the other hand nobody knows the characters better at this point. If not that then ghey should at least release this show in its entirety on blu ray as it deserves to be seen in higher quality than SD.
I think there needs to be just one more episode before it's too late to make another, just one to sort of end it all, write something which is a proper finale

You have to accept that you might never see him, and learn to appreciate him for his work alone. We do not have a right to our heroes. It would be lovely to meet them, but if we all did then they would have no free time. If you take it so personally that you must meet him, you're just giving yourself an unnecessary regret. When he passes, concentrate on celebrating what he did for you. He doesn't need a thank you.
I also have this dream. I'm 25 and was brought up on OFAH and can memories a lot of episodes script by script and recognise smaller characters from other TV shows. Open All Hours was brilliant too. There'll never be another David Jason just like there'll never be another Robin Williams or either of the 2 Ronnies ❤️

These days people can’t let things just end on a high. Instead they prefer to watch it get worse and worse. This special wasn’t awful but nowhere near as good as the original series. Only fools should have ended for good after Del and Rodney became millionaires at the auction.
John Sullivan is brown bread now & can't write any more even if the BBC try to force him - like they did after he wrote the intended final episode where they become millionaires.
very sad thing is they will never play Del and Rodney again, With John Sullivan no longer with us. Always though there could have been just one more xmas special. Set about now, with their children.

Seriously suggest watching this at 1.25 speed, sounds so much more like the old del and rodney and not slowed with age

About a year ago I met Boyce, Marlene, Raquel, Gary, denzil, mickey and a few other people from the show. Didn't see del or Rodney though.
