Correct. The foam cannon with just a hose is all you need. Foam produced by a pressure washer will not have any different effect on loosening particles.
Thank you! I just had my Camaro ceramic coated & am looking into adding a pressure washer but have been confused as to whether or not I should even invest in a pressure washer. This cleared it up for me. Very helpful

Just wondering... 1. What is your garden hose size (1/2", 5/8", 3/4"), and water pressure from the tap? 2. Is it possible to use the pressure washer canon with a garden hose (by using an adaptor)? 3. Also, the difference between the foam outputs for each cannon, might be due to the orifice/hole size and the internal mesh foam maker on the pressure washer cannon.
Yes the electric pressure washers like the cheaper ones at Home Depot or Lowe’s are more than adequate to put out the same foam as a pressure washer in the video did.
Dang... No free cannon for me. But, still an incredibly informative video to see the comparison. Looking at pressure washer cannons for myself, and it looked like you have the same trigger set up for your washer that I have, so I clicked on this to see what cannon inlet size you used. Might be a stupid question but would you need the foam cannon if the pressure washer has a bottle connection already I also have the AR pressure cleaner 1800psi system
AR blue is one of the best pressure washers out there. But yes, it needs a quality foam cannon like the MTM PF 22.2 to go along with it. In addition to 1800 PSI, the AR has a super high flow rate (2.0 gal/min). That is actually more important than the 1800 PSI when making good foam.
I have a has Sampson 3000 psi. 2.1 gpm for years. I really dont want to buy another power washer with lower psi. Can I use the 3000 psi with a foam cannon to foam only and rinse with only the hose? I cannot dial down my pressure washer and I know you normally want max 2000 psi. What will happen if I use 3000 psi with foam cannon? Thank you.
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Hello curious about something said in the video. You said you used it on number 5 setting for max foam. In another video someone said for max foam you should use on the lowest number. Can you help? Thanks
Hello! I like to use the particular foam cannon on the highest setting to get the most foam, the other person might have had a different foam cannon with different types of settings or they just have a different preference on how much foam they want. In the end, buy a foam cannon and splay with the different settings with different amounts of soap in the container and find out what you like best, there’s really no right or wrong, just more so personal preference. I hope this helps!
Lots of possible issues. #1 is flow rate. Note sure what pressure washer you have, but flow (gallons/min) is more important than PSI. You then have to choose what orifice size you use in the foam cannon based on the PSI and flow rate of your pressure washer.
Unless you can tell me why it is more benefit (much cleaner for ie) to foam the car beautifully with pressure washer, I don't see why one has to spend more for it.
