- These are the Rareware logo sequences from all 11 of Rare's N64 games in the order they were released. These videos were recorded off the North American cartridges.

I like how Rare was brave enough to cut the N64 Logo in half and focus it on their's. :)

Nintendo 64 was where Rare REALLY shined, doing brilliant games of both platforming and fps genres whilst dabbling in fighters, racers and the truly unique blast corps. Pity Microsoft came along and fucked everything up...but the money that was offered would have been almost impossible to turn down!

I'm 17 and I agree on everybody's opinion about Rareware being the greatest game company. Damn I miss Rareware and their humorous kick ass creativity. GoldenEye, Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong Country, Conker, Perfect Dark, and Banjo Koozie were the best in the 90s -;D

The N logo reminds me of the old Sega logo on Genesis, how every developer would present it differently in each game.

Rareware is what made Donkey Kong the amazing franchise that it is today, and without them I wouldn't be appreciating the DK series to the extent that I have for it today. I still have much appreciation for Retro Studios and the amazing success that they've provided the series with...but I would die to see a new DK game (preferably a sequel to 64) with the Nintendo logo greeted shortly after by the Rare icon. That would be a dream come true.

This is very cool! I wish Rareware could make more Banjo Kazooie games and more Conker games, I missed them so much! I also wish for them to make Timber 64 and Twelve Tales: Conker's Quest instead of them being cancelled.

I never realized just how many games rare made for the N64
Rare was something wouldn't they? Imagine had Rare stayed with Nintendo, we would have gotten Banjo-Threeie, Conker's Other Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong Racing, and a direct sequel to DK64 on the Gamecube along with other new franchises and sequels that only lord knows. It's sad what happened to Rare after they were bought out by Microsoft, and I wish we were living in a alternate universe where they were still with Nintendo.

I’m not sure if anybody noticed this already, but did you realise that the logo variations used for DK64 and Conker use the same stage as the background?
Fun fact: all of the logos of rare for the N for n64 were incorrect logos by coloring and style, If you look and compare the n64 logo to the official nintendo n logo to the rare ones you can see they are very different in coloring.

They way they evolved was really interesting
when rare was on nintendo they were unstopable, with the inovative gameplay, amazing graphics, and unbelieveable original music rareware changed the world of gaming 4ever, when microsoft bought them they went 2 shit, i stikk cant believe they remade conker's bad fur day 4 the xbox but money does crazy things 2 people, conker's bad fur day was a masterpiece, 2 this day i still cant believe they were able 2 fit so many amazing things n2 a 64 bit game cartridge

If you want to see some evidence of Rare's greatness without playing any of their games, you just have to watch this video. Their polish was extraordinary and it really did result in the best collection of games available on the N64. A mundane logo showcase which other developers would be quick to get out of the way is turned into a show of its own by Rare. The Goldeneye and Perfect Dark logos create fucking chills - is it a coincidence that they're the best FPSes on the N64 (by a canyon and a half) and two of the best FPSes of all time? Meanwhile, the Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day logos explode with personality. It's my belief that the former is the best 3D platformer ever made and the latter isn't far behind. I may get some grief from Mario fanboys for saying that, but no one can deny that those games are truly special

It’s sad when they had to remove or edit some Nintendo reference of these with rereleases on The Xbox Live Arcade or Rare Replay. The same thing happened with Disney classics though with referencing Sega and Nintendo.

Wow I didn't know Rare made Jet Force Gemini, Killer Instincts Gold, Blast Corps, or Mickey Cruisin USA that's pretty dope!! I thought 3/4 of those games were made by either Traveler's Tales or Activision (I say 3/4 because I never once heard of Killer Instincts Gold, I have only heard of it's predecessor on the SNES and I did not know it got a sequel on the n64 until I watched this vid frankly)!!
