RareWare was the first video game company I recognized besides Nintendo, back then those two were inseparable. I'm so happy Banjo is in Smash holy shit

I love how almost all of their n64 games had the n64 logo on the intro. Like “thanks guys I really needed help figuring what console I’m playing on.”
n64 was perfection, it was quite literally a perfect console

When you see that gold letter 'R', you know you're in for a treat.
I remember playing Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Kinect Sports and Kinect Sports: Season Two on Xbox 360 and seeing these three Rare video logos.
Sadly they weren't at their prime by that point. Just an empty husk of their former glory days.
I never played Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark Zero on my Xbox 360 E.
I do like how Rareware still made games for Nintendo after the buyout but only on their portable systems like the Game Boy Advance and the DS
I'm so hoping that Rare Replay comes to switch!

@@eleven99 If Microsoft can allow Cuphead and Ori on the Switch along with Banjo & Kazooie in Smash, then so can Rare Replay.
It's quite difficult since almost a third of the games on it used the 360 backward compatibility so they didn't had to port them and the work was much quicker, while on Switch they would have to port those games from scratch, and I don't think that woul be worth $30
It could be a cutted back version lacking all the 360 games but using the N64 version of the 2 Banjos and Perfect Dark with their horrible framerate and all, or just maybe porting the 360 versions of the Banjo games individually, since I don't think that many people care about like half the stuff on Rare Replay and they ask for it mostly because of Banjo
@Caleb Hopkins Rare owns all the games from IP's they made, no matter if Nintendo or anyone else published it at the time, the only games they don't own or fully own are the licensed ones or the ones that used an IP they didn't create, like DK or Star Fox

@HUB GOBLIN Tell me one breakout, legendary game they've made on Xbox's console that's just as good on Nintendo. Remakes don't count.
As far as I know, they've wasted this company's potential with stupid gimmicks on Kinect games and poor sequels.
@@ProjectGibix Kameo: Elements of Power, Viva Piñata: Trouble In Paradise, and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts are all reasonably good games. I would personally say that these games (especially VP: TIP) are better than many of Rare's offerings on Nintendo Platforms.

HIGHLY disagree, when Rareware and Nintendo collaborate you knew its going to be a masterpiece. The developers at Rare had a passion for making good games, Microsoft really limited their potential because the lack of creative freedom.

Well, I think Nintendo knew the writing was on the wall when the Stamper Brothers and most of the staff behind their games were leaving Rareware. That’s why they so easily gave Microsoft the company.
