I got the original PSR-1 from Santa when i was 8!!! More than 30 years later I still have it and it still works! My 8yo daughter used for a while but Xmas last year Santa got her a new PSR 363. It's great. The e463 is worth the step up for older players and you have the budget but the 363 is still great. Cos i got the original psr-1 I've become a yamaha fan. I worked in a piano store as a teenager and they far outperformed and out sold the competition. Their reputation is the envy of every company. I started riding motor bikes 7 years ago and my first 2 bike where Yamaha and I experienced the same high quality. Although they are having a few issues with their motogp bikes atm. I also have a high end yamaha acoustic guitar that I've owned for 25 years, it's still sounds and plays like new. I also know lots of people who have low spec Yamaha guitars that are just as old and still play great. In fact a family friend has has his Yamaha acoustic for almost 40 years! and it sounds better than any maton I ever played. Not a knock on maton, that particular yamaha is super rare and when they tried to compete with martin.... Ha Yamaha should start paying me for these reviews.

Wow I didn't even know there WAS a PSR1. I thought they started at 2. Sounds like you've got a real rare collectible there!

Still a great keyboard 🎹. Now for suture psr e 3xx series Yamaha can add the two knobs and the pitch bend wheel😎👍

    • @gearfacts

Maybe hold the highest key down while switching it on? I’m not sure. I think the problem might be a physical fault anyway, I doubt that reset will help :(

I used to own e323, love the audio quality
When I move to e343, just feel that the audio is not as great as e323.
On the spec, e323 weighs 4.9kg while e343 weighs 4.4kg
I couldn’t think of anything or where the weight reduction can happen.
Other than speakers with reduced mass.
    Another cost saving?

Does this Yamaha have single fingered chord option? Our you need to press all 3 keys in order to play a chord?

Noted! You know it's funny, I occasionally get comments saying "If you want to review keyboards then you should learn to play first", to which I reply "I think it's best to demonstrate keyboards at an intermediate level, because the big companies always use pro players who give a false impression of what to expect." I guess it's all about balance :)
