  • We made breakfast Cornsilog with corned beef specially from the Philippines!
    Full recipe: themeatmen.sg/recipes/filipin...
There are so many ways to recreate this easy Filipino dish. Similarly to our Singapore Nasi Lemak, Silog is served with garlic fried rice (sinangag), sunny-side up eggs (itlog) and ANY meat of your choice.
We added Rum into our Ginisang Corned Beef for extra tender meat and flavour boost! Mixed with caramelised red onions and potatoes, this Filipino breakfast staple is a meal that tugs on the heartstrings of many of our Filipino friends.

Good choice of corned beef. Delimondo and Purefoods are the usual go-tos for corned beef in the Phils. Palm and Libbys go as well. Though, salt will do for the fried rice, and the fish sauce/chicken powder seasoning may overwhelm the taste buds.
    Awesome flambéing, though.

Have to give credits to our friend who gave us the corned beef! We love our fried rice just the way it is but feel free to omit :))

What about Argentina Corned Beef? It's the most common brand here in Singapore!

The best known maker of Masbate carne norte, Mang Jimmy, takes much pride in his work he never lets his children eat corned beef from cans 😅

Looks amazing! But personally I wouldn't add fish sauce and chicken powder to the fried rice because Filipino corned beef is salty AF already haha

We're using the brand Delimondo! Not sure whether there's a difference among other brands but it wasn't salty for us :))
