I gave up my GBAs but having a IPS mod with the holographic glass on a glacier model was pretty freaking awesome. The only downside is you're limited to GBA or older games pretty much, which isn't terrible it's fun but when you compare that to BT gamepad on droid you have Winlator, AetherSX2, Dolphin & Mupen FZ + it's really lacking. But if you're planning on playing GBA it's great.

Select + L/R for brightness is a stupid idea 🤦🏻♀️ Games use this shortcut in gameplay. I can call you two of them: duke nukem advance, gta advance (for weapon select in both). And I guess there are much more

I got a custom made GBA which has most of the features of your one, minus the LEDs and the overclock. Trouble is, it's just too good to play with
I was looking into this before and most of these super modded consoles come to about 800€ when modded. That is ridiculous for a 20+ year old console with limited features. You could easily get a steam deck for that price.

You can but personally just using the funny playing brand new gba motherboard is all you need. Of course you have to have soldering skills to transfer over the cpu and ram but if can do it this will be all the mods you need.

Hope Analogue launches a Analogue pocket but with the horizontal formfactor of the gameboy advance with a dock fit for it. Hould be Unbelievable. Also a consolised Analogue Pocket with dock, like a normal console, not portable!!!
There definitely are too many GBA mods and NOT enough GBC mods

I love that themed GBA your sporting there. Love options and many of them and I do have a couple GBA modded OG units but since I got the Analogue Pocket I’ve been perfecting the micro SD to have the best of the best format & compatibility. There’s nothing like plugging in a physical cartridge into OG hardware even if it’s modded tho

Would be cool if it sped up the game, but kept the music at reg speed.

It actually gives him a little separation between the whole device and the actual screen to see . I think that’s the point of it .

I just threw a EZ Flash Omega in the trash. Corrupted all my files on the SD card when the battery died. I was going to replace the battery until I saw the poor soldering on pretty much every component. Everdrive ftw. 💪

Yea!! I bought a mod for DMG BACK IN 2016 or so
So I like the form factor of the original GBA much more than the SP.
But if you consider the Gba SP has the brighter screen and rechargeable battery yes all of these mods are completely unnecessary.
Theres an unlimited number of ways to play Gameboy Advance games these days..
Also sometimes you mod your console are make it worse than it would have been otherwise.
Those funny playing screens add latency.
A lot of those Ags101 screens are fake and look worse than the original ags101 screens

rechargable battery is aftermarket.
If the rechargeable battery stops working how will you replace it?
After market products aren't easily available often sold out.
That error on the Ez-flash can happen if the sd card isn't in the slot properly and has slipped above/below the connector.
Doesn't make sense, works in pocket not in gba, no matter what. The sd card wasnt moved or changed when this happened, and ive tried numerous times, always works in pocket but not gba
