As a native American English speaker, I'm glad the algorithm brought me here! I enjoy talking to people from different places, but when I talk to a non-Native speaker, I sometimes worry I'll offend them by seeming patronizing if I slow down. This series has been helpful to pinpoint where I might be confusing people, especially when I get excited. I would be interested to hear what your take is regarding regional accent variations in America. To me, the L.A. area tends toward a generic accent, but many parts of America have very distinct accents of their own - especially up and down the East Coast. I imagine this makes it even more difficult for non-Native speakers to understand if they move to a different area in the U.S. At any rate, it would be a fascinating topic for exploration if you are so inclined.

You're a very charismatic person. That's the only explanation I can come up with for why, as a native speaker, I've watched so many of these videos. I know you'll never see this, but the 't' sound in the middle of those words is known as an alveolar tap. It's like the single 'r' in Spanish, like in "pero".
I actually have been able to speak like a native-and to write better than natives- through hard work in a locked room in the dirtiest of countries. You don't really need to be surrounded by native speakers to score 119 in toefl as I did or to be a profound writer or to speak fast and naturally and to have less and less lapses of memory or errors of wordchoice. So never give up and always refresh your memory through regular listening or reading if you like books and I'll happily elaborate on my learning experience if people would want that.
Yeah I subscribed to your rather serious channel you are a genius its a pity that people are ignoring someone with your linguistic capacity I believe you would write a novel to be received by natives someday.

You're doing a great job! As an American I love hearing foreign accents. Some of the most subtle accents I hear are when the American "ah" and "ow" sounds are not as rounded as a native's are. They sound somewhat flattened to me.
The goal is to speak English correctly, be able to perfectly understand others and communicate properly... not really to immitate natives who make a lot of mistakes...a t is a t...I don't care if they call a t a d... it's not my fault.
