Very nice what Microsoft is doing on PostgreSQL, contributing to PG's evolution in a awesome manner, putting together the best PG experts to bring it to Azure with new and exciting capabilities !
What I would like to see in SQL Server, that PostgreSQL has ? A C pre-compiler for embedded SQL !! For developing plain C applications in the Linux environment it would be extremely powerful , i think !
I hope we'll see some improvements in geographic redundancy, like read-only replicas or geo-redundant backups. Something. Azure Data Protection Vault support would be good too - That was my plan until I found it only supports Single Server, which is out because that uses an ancient version of Postgres. Having all our eggs in one regional basket is a bit concerning, and having to cobble something together using VMs and backup scripts is less than ideal.
waste video. learned from chatgpt bttr. sunil himself seemed more confused just like an engineering student in india givng viva. PS: its not linux but container and vm based architecture which makes difference.

Very well explained and makes so much sense and exciting for customers to adopt Azure database for PostgreSQL

Claudio, thanks for the feedback. The challenge will be managing the security but we will look into it.

Is it ever going to be out of preview? I’ve been waiting over a year! I need the service in my production location.
