      @@Tourtiere34 I think it pays to be smart, people fall out of love with watches, or they lose their income or similar. The only time it might make sense to buy a JLC new that I can think of is if there is a big discount and the AD also sells Rolex (or Patek / AP) and promises you a rare steel sports that trades for a premium in return.

    • @mkyhou1160
      @mkyhou1160 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Unknown dude if you aren’t a hoarder and only buy watches to wear, you have to sell from time to time when you want to upgrade or aren’t feeling the love. I never own more than two to three watches, so every time I buy I sell one, it has to be an upgrade. I’m always also conscious life can throw a curve ball, I’m not a trust fund baby. Buying used is simply smart if you know a watch goes down more than AD discounts, which is the case new JLCs (or the Zenith El Primero I got second hand in mint condition), there is no new car smell with a watch.

    Honestly this collection comes out way more interesting than the prior, and not just down to the extra five grand in budget. Some super adventurous choices here that I think really pay off well. When your only truly super safe pick is the Seamaster (yes the GS could be classed as safe on the brand level, but there are way safer options WITHIN GS) I think you've smashed it. That IWC has me feeling things on a spiritual level
