Honestly, we need hobbies or interests that don't necessarily need to be monetized. That just adds to the stress and the pressure! I'm glad that you're gonna continue to put out long-form content here on TH-cam. :)
@@CharmdeLeon Serious question at what age do you considering having a baby? I've been a fan for years, just checking up on you and also I'm catching up on having my finances on check.
I can relate to this very much. I used to think that hobbies are just waste of time if I can't make money from it. And as someone who is also pursuing to retire early, it can really lead to burn out if we don't loosen up a little. I have started travelling and exploring life more without the stress of making more money. It's nice to know that we are not alone in this journey. :)
I love how you shared your feelings here in a very honest and transparent way. Yes, your feelings are valid. The reason we feel that way is because we set the bar too high and we forgot that we achieved alot of things along the way. Charm, you are amazing and you indeed achieved alot in life other people are just dreaming of. Welcome back!
Honestly I love hearing about stories of failure & the lessons learned from those experiences :) life doesn't have to be perfect & social media can use more authenticity & vulnerability. Share ko lang din Ms Charm, I'm turning 30 this year and I didn't reach my target financial milestone. In fact, malapit na nga, lumayo pa. While that was very disappointing, I still feel that this year is my happiest because of the experiences - I got to move out, spend more time with my SO, finally traveled abroad with my complete family, other sponty local travels & gala, etc! While I still question myself a lot, super priceless ng mga nangyari :) always wishing you the best!
Listening to you is therapeutic. I consider you as my soul mentor. I'm just 25 and got married with no kids, DINK also. I learn a lot from you. Take care of yourself cause you inspire a lot of people.
I can relate to this so much. We've waited 2 years before having our own space. Right in between our struggle to build our house, I've made peace with myself that I don't need to rush and I don't have to compare my progress to others because we're all in different phases of our lives.
Can definitely resonate in the part where you mentioned about spending and enjoying life. Yes, as one of your audience I resonated with that. I realized that there must be a balance between preparation for the future and living in the moment. Kasi pano kung mamatay ka bukas, yes may ipon ka pero para kanino yung pera, sa pamilya? That’s noble, sure, but we shouldn’t only be living for others, we must also live for ourselves. A little bit of selfishness shouldn’t hurt naman siguro, or better term, self love.
Thanks for this. I’m definitely on the path to learn to be a bit more selfish, which is weird cause we’ve been trained to be selfless esp sa PH where family comes first.
Thanks for this Charm! As a guy and a fellow "who just turned 30" who has really nothing to show so far (compounded with being jobless these past 3 months), it's very frustrating. I can go all day with what I have not achieved but I guess we just have to add the word "yet." We haven't achieved major milestones...yet. Just gotta keep pushing, and just like what Tito Mikee says: kita kita sa taas! 💯
Aww, welcome back, Ms. Charm! I want to send virtual hugs to you after listening to this vulnerable vlog, especially in the latter part :(( I admire how you ensured you got your own back to validate how you felt about not achieving much in the past year while acknowledging your privileges. You worked hard for everything you have now! I have appreciated your long-form videos for a few years na rin when I discovered your channel during the pandemic. Thank you for letting us know that you might share vlogs that may not strictly adhere to the theme of your channel that on the surface, most viewers may recognize, which is about personal finance, investing, and saving. I think "ready to adult" (r2a) can mean being responsible with our decisions as adults WHILE also enjoying life. After all, all the hard work at our jobs, learning how to invest, and everything else is ✨to ultimately achieve the "dream life" we envision for ourselves and our loved ones. ✨ I personally would love to see your travels, life updates, how you were able to enjoy all the hard work you did, and what lessons you may also share and pick up! You helped the adulting community so much already! (I'm talking about the FB group you created, and of course, the content you share and putting yourself out there!) I met you through your content when I was 18 and now I'm 22, almost graduating college, baon ko pa rin yung ilang lessons I learned through your vlogs that stuck with me. Just wanted to send my genuine appreciation to you, Ms. Charm! (or Mrs. Charm, hehe so cute ng new logo with the ring! 💍🤍)
Awweee thank you! I really appreciate this ❤️ Another reason to keep creating and growing 💕🥰 good luck and congratulations on your graduation! As they say, “Welcome to the real world” 😅
I just love the honesty here, that sometimes kahit na we expect to achieve a milestone at this specific time, may time talaga na hindi e. And it shows na burnout - hindi namimili ng tao yan. It happens to anyone and baka it's harder to people who used to love what they are doing. I'm happy that you found a hobby na you don't need to monetize 🤗 It really helps.
I just turned 30 as well. All I can say is that we all go through a period of transition, figuring out what we want the next chapter of our life to look like, and yeah, it can make us feel stuck sometimes but I think it's a necessary part of the growth process. Padayun! :)
Thank you for this video! I feel the same and please know, change is constant and change is good! I’m loving my 30s!!! Learning to not be so hard on myself and celebrate the small wins, everyday. Keep it going!
I like it po. Maganda din po kasing pakinggan yung mga stories na totoo lang, yung tipong "nakakarelate" ako kasi di nga naman palaging ups ang buhay, meron din tayong mga moments na "slow down" phase kung baga, na maeexperience. And thank you for sharing po. Naapreciate ko po yung mga ginagawa nyong content.
I used to watch you when I was 15 or 16. Learned about handling credit cards, and buying repo cars. Ever since then those lessons remained to ready to be use in the near future. I can't believe you've turned 30 now. Time passes by quick!
If I can rephrase the final thoughts section it would be: Grateful for the journey, proud of the progress, and always eager for what's next! Keep making videos like this Charm! Remember that you make a lot of people happy and informed! Can't wait to watch your next vid :)
good to have you back here. pinapanuod ko na talga mga videos mo dati plng and you help me a lot po to be financially literate. now kaka graduate ko lng and soon to work on board a ship. tiga cebu raman sad ka so ayaw ka pressure kaayo about life just live it lng one day at a time. and prioritize the things that you love doing and you'll be fine. take care po always maam.
It's nice seeing you again, Miss Charm! Take care po and looking forward to watching more of your adulting videos! Take your time lang po. Andito lang kami nakaabang hahaha
Hi Charm, I find the information you provide to be very helpful . Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences! I just have a questions regarding my stocks that I acquired year 2015. I bought a Pilipino Telephone Corporation shares and I just want to know what happened to that company since it was acquired by Smart and then PLDT? Can you tell me what will I do. Thanks in advance.
Sorry Charm, viewed some of your personal finance and RE videos and i found multiple wrong advice to people. I suggest you take short courses about finance in good reputable schools (e.g., Ateneo, DLSU, UP) to educate yourself as well :) no hate here, just want to help out
How about your investment strategies as you entered 30's? BTW I am 35, I am envied you actually, you are doing what you want despite you are younger than I am. Hehe 😅
hey charm! sorry but some of your advice are plain out wrong. i suggest that you study a business course in a more reputable school, as these advice may harm and negatively impact the finances your audience. Just food for thought :)
I appreciate videos like this-raw and real. Very refreshing from the usual flex, hustle, and grind videos.
Honestly, we need hobbies or interests that don't necessarily need to be monetized. That just adds to the stress and the pressure!
I'm glad that you're gonna continue to put out long-form content here on TH-cam. :)
The guilt is still there but yes we definitely do!

Same feels sa “malapit na nga, lumayo pa” that’s why it was extra disappointing 🥲 But laban lang! 30 is just a number ❤️
