Phew, thank goodness! For all my adult life,I thought I may have had arrested development. I’m 66, have 3 grown up children, 2 at Uni and I’m still a kid at heart! I’m so happy I’m a motorcyclist and have been one for 50 years, with 5 motorcycles in my garage…thanks for the reminder, Simon of why I’ve stayed off the rails! 😂😂👍🏍️🍺Ride safe all, and have fun riding…life is too short not to…! 🇿🇦👍

Spot on. It's a great time of your life as a kid why shouldn't you keep some of that with you through your adulthood like playing out. As they say life is short. Keep enjoying your riding and ride safe.

Such a nice area to ride in and spot on with the idea of playing out. Also reminded of this feeling at a recent pub cake stop, when a little kid who loved bikes got so excited when I revved my bike for him.

Hello Simon, I couldn't say more than you told, totally agree. I'm 64 yo, riding motorbikes almost 50 years, raced enduro 35 years. As soon I ride this marvellous and funny Scrambler , I'm 27 years old ! Was with it in Spain a week beginning of May, onroad ( very little roads ) and offroad.. genuine"bath of youth" ! By the way, something funny, or "strange", at that time ,my friend ( from childhood)with wich I did this road trip pointed out to me that most off the riders are over 55/60 years old. after that, I payed more attention about it, and he was right. It seems that our generation as been much more interested in riding motorcycles than the actual new generation. ( Look most off your commentators about your video, we have more or less the same age and profile.. about 60 yo, riding over 40/45 years..where are the young generations ?

What a wonderful memory and a statement for later life. Playing out on my Falcone and hiking in the countryside is my mature (65 yrs) playing out. Spot on Andy. The Falcone's ride is so laid back that you become part of the journey and environment. Fo slow and live. Be safe and calm.

Yes, all too true, sitting at home enjoying a beer or two instead of getting out and enjoying a spin on the bike. Too true about the current trend, dress for the slide and not the ride. We'll of course, but not practical, especially when it's in the 30+°C blazing sun. Yes, I have the vented garments. All that gear is not going to save a leg hitting an object. You have to ballance the risk and treat every other road user as an idiot. You will also think, shit maybe I shouldn't have done that, but phew, I got away with it. My take is, ride your ride and ride within your limits, not others. Ramblings spur thoughts. Take it or leave it. I fully agree. 👍

As soon as I get on the bike I feel great! All my stress vanishes and even aches and pains disappear. It increases my gym time because I’m never too tired to workout when I’m riding. When I’m in the car I may drive passed the gym and go home to rest but never on the bike.

Totally agree with the sentiment, most people ride for the joy rather than out of necessity so they should be enjoying themselves. Regards to safety equipment, each to their own it’s unfortunate that not everyone lives in an area of the country where sheep are the biggest road hazard so dressing appropriately taking into consideration the weather and road conditions seems not unreasonable. Keep up the great work!

Stop thinking and start riding. Don’t get me wrong you have to think about riding but just go for a ride and enjoy the road in front of you. ❤

Morning Proffessori, you are exactly right. I know from travelling across the USA in 1994 with certain people how stressful it can be. Got to leave at an exact time or be here or there by a certain time. So much so that we split from the group and did our own stuff during the day and rejoined the others in the evening.
You know a recent event taught me something, how pleasurable riding in your company is, no stress, good company, and hours of philosophical discussion. I still have a list of people I would never ride down to the corner shop with.
Thinking young and growing older is no sin. So keep playing and having fun.
