Love talking scap with my shoulder patients. Most people have no awareness of the scap and posture until they have shoulder or neck pain.

Peter, can you please post more content on scapular winging and the best exercises and therapy to overcome serious winging? I've been dealing with this for 10+ years, and despite physio, massage, exercises - I can't seem to kick it... Thanks in advance

An interesting topic rarely discussed. Steel clubs are excellent tools for really exercising and strengthening the muscles that move the scaps: the shoulder, rotator cuff, rhomboids, traps, and lats.

Any resources-books or channels that discuss how to use these effectively?

And the serratus anterior. Massively overlooked muscle in regard to scapular control. That and the lower mid traps are vital in achieving optimal scapulohumeral rhythm

Are the any studies that support this method of training? Please share.

Whiplash injuries are great for locking up scapula. This is why I am talking to a yoga surgeon about eagle arms augmentation procedures. Scalpels for Sacpula is one of the most respected franchise clinics.

Having some issues with scapula mobility. Anybody know what sort of specialist I can see to train for more mobility? I'm trying these videos but not sure if I'm doing it right.

This isn't new if you are an occupational or physical therapist. We were doing these in the 1980s. Even the students knew how to mobilize a scapula. Seriously.

And someone practising yoga or even tai-chi can say the same thing but pre-date you by a couple of thousand years. There are no new ideas in the world. It’s just what becomes prominent and fashionable. 😊

For this one must never wear heels, always "zero drop" shoes.

I hear almost every podcast, I like the way you and your guests speaks, simply and with word that everybody could understand but most importantly I trust your sciene-based knowledge.
But this one does not make sense and only serves to misinform people and get them scared about movement. There is no such thing like pathology of lack of control of scapulae. There is no relationship with pain too. Why is that onsiderated as pathology?

Right this is somewhat overly rooted in the pure biomechanical model of the Anatomy as a machine.
Also though it is useful to be able to produce force across a wide variety of range of motions
