The only review I've seen to speak on the all electric drive. This is what I wanted to know. Is it any good as an EV for work commutes? Sounds like a YES!

I find it remarkable that among the roles that a Range Rover is historically supposedly to fill, driving off-road isn't focused on here. I guess that's been handed off to the Defender and less to the Disco.

problematic and keep garages very busy (I run one). Auto express magazine, carwow, top gear magazine, car Wizard and many others place Lexus as the most reliable brand. My money would go on a Lexus. But if you want a BMW, Audi or MB crack on and good luck. You'll need it.!

My only concern would be the width of these country roads .. People drive too fast ( 60mph ) on these roads as it is ..
Look how this vehicle hugs the white lines in centre of road .. That width could be a dangerous and expensive issue .

A good starting point for the bev version , in regards to the phev given its weight and ev range I think a 3 litre diesel version with the same ev battery would sell better for mile munchers and allow free travel into low emission zones by running ev only

Lol I seriously doubt it, after 20+ years of being ranked literally one the lowest for reliability and no change since acquisition from TATA and now plagued by supply chain issues. Now it means getting an unreliable car with huge lead times and then again huge lead times for parts when it inevitably requires fixing....... If the brand didn't have such storing biritsh heritage, it would be dead a long time ago

Reliability is not an issue with LR, as breakdowns are a victimless issue here, LR owners expect it, breakdown services rely on it, dealers profit from it- it is a circle of life. Imagine the conversation at the Hunt Ball- all about how many times the car broke down that day, how many months the car has been off the road that year, how many millions of pounds it costs to get it fixed, and why they have a "brace" of LRs, so that there is always one on the road.

@@alanwayte432 "Thierry Bolloré, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, made headlines a few months ago when he admitted that reliability and quality issues cost the company 100,000 in sales per year. After detailing the “Reimagine” transformation plan, Jaguar’s boss hits back saying that 2021 results are better but there is still more work that needs to be done.
Since he took charge in autumn 2020, Bolloré made it clear that Jaguar Land Rover needs a reboot. His top priority was to improve the British company’s disastrous scores on customer satisfaction, quality, and reliability surveys. In order to fix that, he created the new role of “Executive Director of company quality and customer satisfaction” appointing Nigel Blenkinsop as a member of the board."
This is a quote from autocar UK from last year.

Calling someone as thick as they come is really ignorant… what a stupid thing to say.
Anyway we’ve had 6 jags and RR over the last 7 years and has one unscheduled visit to the garage for a software update
The CEO’s comment was an optics damage mitigation… some people are so basic in their understanding of the detail.
Incidentally about 20% of the school patents have LR and RR and no noticeable reliability issues.
Anyway we love ours , drive brilliantly and feel great.
