How to C-Notch & Bag a C10 Truck - Slammed Small Block Chevy C10 Ep. 1

- While we wait for our 7.3L Godzilla swap Continental to come back from paint, or new parts to control our BMW DCT transmission in the twin turbo LSX Chevelle, we figured it's the perfect time to put together our new shop truck.
Well, put together might not be the best phrasing. The truck is a running and driving C10. But in true S2S fashion, we're going to tear it down and make it look a whole lot cooler for when we have to cruise out to go pick up some parts!
If you remember, we took this C10 in on a trade for our 60's LS Swapped Travelall build. And as nice as it looks, it's not up to the S2S standard. So we're kicking this build off by making sure it sits nice and low with a GSI rear C-notch kit. This weld on kit is going to make sure our frame and drop below the rear axel and lay on the floor when we air out the airbag suspension we're hooking up to this truck!
Have any questions about this C-notch kit or any other part of the build? Let us know in the comments! And make sure to subscribe so you don't miss as we modify our bed to fit our new lowered set up, and start working our way forward to our new front crossmember from GSI!
We're also working hard to get you even more updates on the Lincoln Continental build and the LSX Chevelle. So stayed tuned for that as well!
Guys, that rear end housing is 100% in there upside down.
Yes it was 😂
I thought the same thing, but what do I know 😊
Agreed 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lol I WAS YELLING AT MY SCREEN THE WHOLE TIME HE WAS WELDING THOSE BRACKETS ON THE REAR HOUSING
They want to go backwards really, really fast!
Guys I watch your videos as I have a 1982 C10 I just started on and I really appreciate the work you all do and literally the rides your guys produce are 🔥🔥 I hope to have mine looking half as good as you guys, and ideas would be greatly appreciated, little by little you know 💵 but thanks again you guys are AWESOME!! Huge fan!!

Thank you so much! We're not too far away from you. Maybe we'll see your build out at a show sometime soon!
Its wild to see C-notching become massively more popular, going from DIY schematics for 2" notches with a piece of pipe cut in half to getting massive notch kits off the shelf, in just a few years.
love how fast that thing was tore down! Can't wait to see the progress. S2S!!!
We've gotten pretty good at ripping these things apart! lol
I like this team and team work they do 👍🏼
Thank you!!
agreed, top notch I love this channel
Love yall. We all know Mike can weld like hell but Andrew is the real brains and talent.
Nice to see a build utilizing the stock chassis!
You should name that thing ‘Uno’ because that rearend just pulled a reverse card 🃏 😂
You guys make it look so easy!!!
It's just the fact that the video moves in 1000x speed! lol We definitely get frustrated at times!
@@SalvagetoSavageI can believe it. My 82' classic mini has been sta ding for 18 months. Should be running by the weekend!! Whooohoooo
So amped for this project. Well really ANYTHING from the S2S crew!
Thank you so much!
Nothing like seeing new metal on a C10 frame getting ready to lay frame!
Great stuff. S2S Chop Truck is gonna rock.
Very excited with follow this new project!!
Aye! Actually got the notification this week! Let's go!!!
Sweet! Looks like we got the issue fixed!
Drop the end. Flip the pinion up and over so it faces the rear. Then spin the axle 180* so that the pinion faces the front, and the left tire is on the right. Then the rear end will be in the correct orientation.
Weld new brackets
good job guys 👍💪
Thank you!
Nicely done boys.
Guess you're going to have to drive that thing in reverse now that the axle is upside down 😂😂
lol, that’s funny that they didn’t notice that and fully burned all those brackets in
Wasn’t very funny cutting them off but hey shit happens lol
@@SalvagetoSavage no, I’m sure it wasn’t, we’ve all been there, haha
hot damn I love these trucks y'all been doin'
Been hoping that after you wrapped up Dime Bagged you’d hope on the new C-10 project!
This one's going to be a bit of a simpler/calmer build. Once the Chevelle and Continental are finished, we'll be starting on a sick Apache build!
Amazing job bro
Thank you so much 😀
Not EVERY C10 needs an OEM looking 2 tone paint job, guys. Seriously!
If you want to buy this one, we'll repaint it any color you'd like!
🤓 geared up
My people 🙌🏼
Looks great …. Note rearend is upside down 🤪
How do you decide what pinion angle to go with when bagging a truck?
We generally set it around 4 degrees at ride height. We always set the pinion angle at the height the truck is going to be driving at, which makes it very similar to setting the angle in a vehicle with static suspension
@@SalvagetoSavage oh okay I se thanks for the help 🤙🏻
💪👊👏
I thought you would update the engine too😊
This one is just going to be a shop truck to go grab us some parts so we don't mind the small block it's got in it!
Guys it looks like the rear end housing is up side down
It was. We fixed it though before setting it permanently!
Is it me or is the rear axle upside down? Looks like the pinion shaft is higher than the axles, poor lubrication to those bearings.
I’m in the chemo area getting treatment #8. So it might be me, lol
Thanks Mike and Andrew, great video!
Can you send me the link for the c notch kit and the 4 link?
Have you ever used elastomeric heim joints?
What brand do you like?
@@AFKustoms don't know, only ever used them on Blackhawk Helicopters. I have never seen them used on a automobile. I would think they would last longer and work better.
Shaved lights look cleaner. 🤷
its never just a drop kit....now where have i seen this before ? hmmmm
Anyone can weld a kit on. You should fab your own stuff
"Can and should" is are definitely 2 different things. Time is money, and this kit didn't cost me money. Just saying. If you want to see a custom fabricated chassis go back and watch our Tesla swapped square body episodes
