i love that you encourage imaginative play for your son! a gender neutral dollhouse (treehouse!) like that is too cool, he’ll love it! and probably really benefit from learning to play house with his sisters.
Yes! I’ve actually never seen a “dollhouse” that could be used for boys or girls! They’re always super girly! This treehouse is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen! I really think they will all love it ❤️
You got so many great gifts- I really love the pj's you got for your oldest. I have a daughter who is panda obsessed as well!

The dollar tree carries yarn also :) for $1.25! Such a steal... ps. You remind me of my mom when I was younger, she made sure to give us a good Christmas no matter how little we had to spend. You're such a wonderful mom and your kids are so blessed to have a mom like you.

I love finding new or like new condition items at goodwill!! I found a brand new wreck this journal for $2.99 they’re $9.99 at target. I also found a book I think she’ll like for $2.99 also! I found a vintage caboodle for $1.99 and got some lipgloss and little makeup from dollar tree or should I say $1.25 tree!! I’m always on the lookout for great deals! My daughter will be 12 January 3rd!

*personalised childrens books* are neat gift ideas to kids if you ask me. Instead of toys and gadgets you'd be opening them up to literature while young , and you'd definitely pique their interest w/ custom books

I absolutely love this! I love your tips. I live in tiny town usa and have to travel 2 hours to a thrift store or target (and everything else haha) so I'm going to stop in there next month when we are in the city for my son's last orthodontist appointment! I probably won't be there again before Christmas so I'm praying to find some treasures ❤
This summer I'm busy selling my old curriculum to purchase curriculum for the upcoming school year. I'm using ibota & upside apps to save a few pennies here and there that I can roll over into my Christmas budget. I'd absolutely love for our library to do a puzzle or board game swap, I'm going to suggest it.

Those lil Woodzeezes look so similar to Sylvian Families! (I think Americans call them Calico Critters?) They are so cute. I'm 26 (Irish) and collected Sylvian families for years, very expensive but beautiful 🥰

I’m sure you know this- but please do a secret laundry run of any fabric products from the thrift store! They can carry lice or bedbugs. Even if they look new, if one thing in the store has it they could all have it.

I wanna do a tighter budget next year. We like to go big but we have 5 kids, and 3 birthdays from Thanksgiving to Christmas as well. So it gets expensive.
You can do it!!! It takes more effort, but is totally doable! I’ve always felt for moms/kids that have birthdays so close to Christmas! That definitely adds another challenge. ❤️

How old are your children? I love getting second hand/previously owned books in my local book store ( that also sells games, toys, stationery and arts & crafts materials).
They are 14, 12, 10, and almost 8.

Before I worked I had to buy toys clothes threft stores that's were I got best toys yellow school ,Fisher Price garage last longer toys now ,
My kids are adults now I still go to buy brand name clothes so cheap nice quilty my daughter gets all happy ,I am just proud of myself

I'm so glad that you are a mom that thinks that you have to buy your children very expensive gifts for Christmas set a budget I just watch a mom of 12 sayed that her children budget was 400 dollar's per child and she don't work either I just don't get that keep it simple I had one son only and I never went overboard because he never ask for much he was a wonderful person and it's wonderful to see a mom set a budget and shop thrift stored for your children GOD IS SO WONDERFUL and loving. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS. Need more mom's like you that think about other needs of a child than spending so much for Christmas because they have birthday and they have family members that get them thinks you shop the way we need to shop a budget is awesome.

$50 is doable with younger children. Very difficult for teenagers.
I’m sure it depends on whether you’re aiming for technology presents or not. I think it’s definitely doable…just might take more time and effort! 😁

I have such a hard time shopping thrift now because of bed bugs.
I haven’t ever run into this problem in all my years of thrifting. I’m sure it happens, but I’ve never experienced bed bugs.
If you buy something that is cloth, you could just tie it up in a bag for a bit before you bring it into the house to wash it. 😉

This was priced as a kids top, which Is why I think it was so cheap. The adult sweatshirts are close to $4 I believe. But yes, I agree that some of their stuff is priced way too high! I just got lucky! ❤️

We do Christmas differently. They were very happy with everything they got 😁
Now is great time to teach son to not take things that aren’t his. Make sure you sterilize the play food coming from a thrift store. Even if you save 25.00 from each pay ( twice a month) you’ll have 600 for Christmas! Get the kids what they want. It may be a dumb plastic house to you but not to the boy. Just a thought
That’s true, if you have that extra money that’s a great idea to set it aside. Personally, I don’t have any interest in giving my kids a $600 Christmas. They’re very grateful for what they get and the Lord has blessed us, so we probably won’t be changing things.
