Two brands that I would have to save for a year to get, Luxman has always been an amazing brand and Pass stands alone in what they do, hard choices but man what fun to have to choose, it is a tough life ;)
I used to own a pair of 300B monoblocks but i switched over to 2A3's. I call my stereo 2A3 single ended amp 'the Singing Angels' as they really shine with acoustical music and voices, better even than the 300B's. Partnered with either a passive Prometheus TVC or a active ATC pre-amp (with electronic music) the 2A3SE is pure audio heaven.
@Bruce Havourd Sure, that must be the reason why so many audiophiles want to return to tubes. The 2A3 or 300B single ended are the most loved of all. They are the fav taste of the hifi-newbies... but your not one of'em i gather? LMFAO!!
My PassLabs XA25 was not tubey not warm and Vice Like grip especially in the bass. I tried with PMC Twenty26 and it was awesome then tried PMC MB2SE and it was not powerful enough.
My life's dilemma is deciding between GM70 tube or 6c33c-b tube SET Amplifier. Sorry 300b you still require special speakers. I don't like limitations.
Can you please let us know which amp works best with the Dynaudio HS speakers! I assume 300B amp would not be able to drive them dynamically! Do the Dyn’s still need plenty of current to drive them to there optimum? Thank you for your reviews they are very informative.
I use this very same Luxman with my Dynaudio HS speakers. OMG... Combination made in heaven. I also have a pair of JBl 4329 and the dynamics are out of this world with the same amp.
I have Pass Labs XA 30.8 + Lampizator dac/preamp and that’s the sound I was looking for. I know there are better (I.e much more expensive amplifiers) but Pass is perfect choice (at least for my ears) 😊
This is the better match. I think it would transform and help out the sloppier drivers like in the dyns. The devilles don’t need extra damping - youll just choke it and over time will miss the extra meat from better matched components.
Thanks, Pass hard to find a dealer to listen to. From what I have read, Pass is on the sterile, lean side, not warm at all. Be nice if they had a better dealer base to audition.
Nope… I’ve owned the XA25 and XP20 neither are sterile. Strongest control of my PMC Twenty26 and even managed to do 90% of my much larger MB2SE. You need to listen across the range. Try Jay’s AudioLab or here.
I don't know who has told you that, but that doesn't describe Pass at all. I would describe Pass as having (generally) fairly delicate, somewhat subdued highs (not really...just a sliiiight edge removal), fairly meaty and three-dimensional mid-band, and slightly rounded bottom end that plummets down to the depths (not to be confused with slow bass, either. It's just a tad plump). This has been my experience every time I've listened to Pass gear.
Is pass labs solid state amp. I currently have parasound 2250 v2 which I love but I am guessing this would be a huge step up . But my speakers are cerwin vega sl 15 would this amp make a difference?
I don't think I'd call the Accuphase brand 'next level' over Pass or Luxman. They're all in the same ballpark in terms of their performance levels and build quality.
Pass Labs is more refined, smooth and open than the Naim SN3. Luxman presents more detail and airiness than Naim SN3. With that said, they do not do the PRAT thing like Naim. Would depend on speakers and room really, and your tastes.
Which amp works better with Wilson Audio speaker? Pass Labs X360.8/ 600.8 vs Pass Labs XA 100.8/ XA 160.8? Assume only for modern Jazz music lovers. THX.
I wouldn't say any of them win. They are just different. Pass is warmer, more ethereal and organic. Luxman is more detailed, more punchy and dynamic. All depends on speakers you choose. I think all are fantastic, just different. I would not say one is better than the other wether we talk of the Pass Separates or the Integrated amps. After all, to some warmth, soundstage, ethereal is "better" than punchy, dynamic and detailed. To others, it's the opposite. : ) Have a great day!
I listened to Pass Labs and Luxman (int-60, 550ax) amplifiers. I prefer Luxman for short-term listening and Pass Labs for long-term listening.@@HiFiHuff

I love this Luxman. hope this device sound as perfect as it looks like
Thanks!
Detailed but with a gentle finish. Precisely what I like.

Or 45 tubes even beter .
@@IvoCoric 100% agree
I have Luxman 590 mk2 with Proac k1 speakers.Magic sound.
Thanks Véry professional reviews
I’m a huge fan of PASS! Impossible to beat for the money…I would like to see you get an Audia Flight Strumento in your room….magnifico! 😘👌
I drive my Thiel CS 3.7s with a Vitus SIA-025 Mk2 integrated, great combo!
Listening to gear together then describing kinda sounds great also

Which of these amps makes the most sense with Klipsch La Scala's?
I would love to see your appreciation Simaudio products
Maybe the best of all worlds would be tubes for the midrange and treble, and SS on the bass. That is what I do.
Please compare with accuphase class a amplifier
This would be very interesting indeed, especially how they compare to Pass.

Thank you Hugo, I tried to buy one in Australia, but they are no longer available new! I haven’t seen any second hand come up.
How does this Luxman do with rock/metal music?
Check out Luxman m10x , gryphon essence , classe delta would love a review

Thank for the show
please please test the 595 with you Dyns HS and let us know what you think :-) Please

@@labalo5 sloppier Dyn drivers? How?
How do you know tha the Inspire would not have sounded even better with a tube pre amp?

fucking awesome appraisal!!!
How would you compare these to the new Electrocompanient flag ship preamp or integrated? Thanks
Bonsoir Meilleur ampli avec dynaudio evoke 10 dans petite pièce merci

and there is the LX-380, you should try it
Have a passlabs in UK. Will never part with it. Wd like a luxman for thai apartment currently have an 11w kt88 SET
Nobody knuckle dragger here with Red Dragon M 500 mk ii monoblocks.
Tube preamp and SS power amp
Or tubes in your source cd Digital vinyl … to SS power amp
Is a ifi stream neo in background?
is L 590ax mk1 still worth having?
Of course!
Una critica contructiva ,si se mostrara mas los articulos de los que habla seria mas grafico y genial el poder elegir.
If you like the Luxman and Pass Labs - you will LOVE the Accuphase Class A...they are next level...
Accuphase and Luxman are same level, they cost almost the same in Japan.
I don't think I'd call the Accuphase brand 'next level' over Pass or Luxman. They're all in the same ballpark in terms of their performance levels and build quality.
Luman + B&W = Magic 🙂
Hmmm, I heard Luxman and B&W is not the best match , still to bright .
Yeah, that's what I thought. Unless someone likes bright and detail. I would go with MC + B&W.
How do these compare to Naim Supernait 3?
Naim uses poor components and they are always skewed either left or right. AVOID NAIM!
Pass Labs is more refined, smooth and open than the Naim SN3. Luxman presents more detail and airiness than Naim SN3. With that said, they do not do the PRAT thing like Naim. Would depend on speakers and room really, and your tastes.
After few hours with pass labs int 25, i hide my naim uniti star in the closet. There is no comparison, at least between integrated ones

Does anyone here have experience with bats vk-3500 and VK-80i vs Pass labs (12000)$
And the sound demo’s for comparison? No? Oh well…
They'd all sound like your computer.
Easy win for tubes, nothing new.
Pass wins over the luxman, I would expect this too. Tube will be tubes.
