I’ve had this from 2017 all the way to christmas 2022 when I switched to the Air 5. This is still very useful for me as a secondary iPad and it still has some good speed for basic stuff. Games though are just alright.
I use it as my secondary ipad, this is my to-go ipad, runs netflix, yt and some games just fine, and battery is just great, excelent choice for basic use.
I just bought a mint one for $140 with new batteries. It is so lightweight and is absolutely sufficient for surfing, email or streaming videos as well as music. And I love the form factor. Great value !

I noticed that the battery in this iPad dropped from 80% to actually 63% within the 12 minutes of this video. Now that makes me question getting one for really basic stuff...
I just ordered one for a travel item. I don’t want to lug around my business iPad and risk losing it. This should be ok for games and books while traveling I hope.

You guys are so lucky there in states, we in Canada can’t even have a decent meal for a family of four at McDonald’s with $60. For $60 here in Canada the only thing you get is the case it screen protector for this!

Got a refurbished one of these for $20 more than a new Amazon Fire 8 HD Plus, which I returned because it's absolute garbage. Incredible how even a 9 year old iPad blows a modern Amazon Fire out of the water in most everything.
The mini 4 used to be very snappy until you got to newer iOS and iPadOS versions. That's Apple effectively phasing your bought product out of your hands with software tricks. I'm going to try to downgrade mine now as it is laggy and almost unusable.
Agreed. My iPad mini 4 is on iPadOS 13 still and it works great. I think it’s always better to stop updating 1 or 2 versions before the end-of-line OS, otherwise the devices become unusable.
True my iPad Mini 4 when it was iPad OS 13 was smooth then 15 came after long time I haven't use it and found it in wardrobe, replace the battery, update it and behold, it is stuttering and slow as heck, and even games like Minecraft feel slow

You overpaid by a lot. Things 10 years old. An Ipad 9 goes for 250 new.

Sureee iPad Air is way thinner and mini 4 is way further than air 2, I had a air 2 and broke easily, mini 4 is way more powerful.
