I’m annoyed that quickbooks has gone to a subscription for the Desktop software, it is glitchy, has to connect via online to verify authenticity. Its all for the sake of forcing businesses to pay for the software every year. You don’t really own a copy of the software, it’s really more of a lease.

Yeah, another business that's gonna die as a result. Adobe is already falling off, video editors moving to Resolve. Subscription based is a cash grab and companies seem to stop innovating, fixing bugs all while raping on the price

Yes. I am furious. Talk about highway robbery. My desktop went from 348 to 549 in one year. Now I am told I can not even access my data without the subscription. So is it really even my data or did they just steal it? They don't even inform you that your price is going up or let you know in advance that your going to be billed again. Customer service is all from India, albeit good and nice. I know the owners, etc are sitting on a yacht somewhere in the Bahamas! Time for a change!

I really like your presentation. However, you did not mention if any of these alternatives can bring over your QB history. Do you have to start over? Also, aren't all of these cloud based? Is anything available for desktop where you just keep and own your own data? Thanks for the great presentation.

I send out estimates for work to be done to several contractors for the same project. I've tried to get QB to allow job entry without being attached to a contractor for years. As it is now I have to enter the project under the 4 or 5 contractors I plan to send the proposal to and then send each one individually. It is a major hassle. I also had QB sync with my banking and it would unreconcile my entire account sometimes back 2 years. It cost me weeks of time trying to correct it and QB could not figure out why it was doing this. It has been a hassle the entire time I've used it which is about 24+ years.

Hello, I can't stand QB, which I've had for years, which is also why I'd like to switch from QB desktop to another desktop software that's designed for that purpose, so it's seamless, easy migration, almost identical, with built-in shipping manager, etc.
Is there such a thing, & if so, which is the best?
    Thank you...

Google Sheets isn't really an option unless you know what your doing. The point of a software is so all the work is done in the background. Creating a spreadsheet in itself isn't what a business owner might know how to do.

Quite helpful for making a decision on which accounting software to use, because QB has now gone to the dogs, for a number of reasons.
Suggestion though: you might think about keeping your cursor movements and screen scrolling down to a minimum, all that scrolling up and down and sideways and even jumping back and forth between tabs every few seconds was enough to create vertigo for your viewers. It's incredibly distracting and totally unnecessary. Maybe drop the caffeine level before you shoot a video, and all will be better. Be safe, cheers.
