Haven’t read all the comments but did you get the “loading up” sorted with the smart carb? I have the same bike as you except it’s the SX model. I have the same issue with the mikuni carb.
I’ve ridden it quite a bit with the smart carb and after a but of tuning it is pretty good. I’m pretty sure the bike needs a new top end, just haven’t had time to do it yet.
Chasing, Great vid! Wondering if you put enough hours on the smart carb to give a review? Thinking about doing this to my sons 2015 200. Also, that’s a 2T that has Cali plates. How did you do that? Thanks.
I rode it 3 consecutive days and ended up leaning it out approximately 15-20 “clicks”(5-6 per day) and it runs A LOT better now. Very pleased with the carburetor and will be riding it more soon. As far as the license, I bought it plated so I can’t help you there. Thanks for watching.
@@jbt7115 we have 83 KTM 200s equipped to-date with solid tuning baselines, if not a little rich out of the box :) If/when you're ready to make a move on one definitely hit us up by email or phone. Happy to answer any questions you or your son may have.
It has been great so far, ended up leaning it out several (15?) clicks to run crisp, but I am 95% sure I need a new top end, so I am waiting to do that before I make “long term review” video.

@@Chasing518 okey, thank you.
how do you make your bike looks so new? polished?
I think it just looks better on camera! 😂. I just try not to fall I guess.

@@Chasing518 Aahaa very cool! Will be waiting for your top-end rebuild video & the long term review video as well! Best wishes :)
They never come tuned perfect. They almost always come a little rich. Just lean it out a little at a time.
Thanks! I sold the bike awhile ago
What metering rod came with your carb?
I’ll have to check the paperwork when I get home in a few days
@@Chasing518 thank you 👍🏼
Yeah it’s just too rich, had one on my cr125 and it was super super rich
Ended up going 20ish clicks leaner and it runs much better.
