    Great video, thanks. Might you show us some face yoga that actually works on your channel? Are you a fan of exfoliants, like lactic acid and vitamin C daily? You have beautiful skin. Thanks - look forward to more videos. X

      Thank you for the kind words! I will absolutely answer all those questions with videos. I plan to post one video every Friday, moving forward, and more frequently as time allows. A face Yoga video is on my immediate to-do list 😊
      As far as using Lactic Acid and Vitamin C, it really just depends on the product itself, the concentration of ingredients, etc. Lactic Acid is my favorite exfoliating agent because it is found naturally in our bodies, compatible with sensitive skin (for the most part), and is also moisturizing. However, it can be damaging when used at high concentrations like in The Ordinary products. It only needs about up to 7% concentration to get the job done without sensitivity. 30% is unnecessary for most people. It should also be used once or twice a week, not daily as often recommended.
      Regarding Vitamin C, that is a complex topic. Most vitamin C products use L-Ascorbic Acid, which is a low PH, unstable, and sensitizing, which will end up causing more oxidation and aging. There are more gentle alternatives that are more suitable for long-term use. I recently posted a short video about that on TikTok. I will create a video about Vitamin C here as well. Until then, you can find so many resources on my website thebeautydoctrine.com. There is a blog that explains all this. There is also a curation of products that you can purchase on there that have been vetted by me, I use them personally and recommend them to my clients. 🥰

      @@thebeautydoctrine that's brilliant, thank you. I use lactic acid 10% and I totally agree once or twice a week is more than enough. I'm not sure on Vitamin C - I do use it but yes, I think it could cause more aging if you don't have the right product. I will check out your link and wait for your next video - thank you 🙂 xx

    Hi, I am in the UK and recently I joined a slimming club. I have lost 1.5 stones so far. I am 60 years young and have an excellent diet. My skin has not been bad and still looks good for my age but, because of the weight loss, my skin is loose. I know it will pull back over time but I would love a recommendation that will help.
    I am allergic to coconut so cannot use anything with this in.
    Thank you.

      Hello! Congratulations on your weight loss and healthy lifestyle! 😊 I will be very honest and tell you that at 60 years old, the skin doesn't bounce back as fast as it can in your thirties. I would suggest losing weight slowly while supporting the skin with diet, skincare, and tools like Red Light Therapy. This will allow the skin time to adjust and tighten up as much as possible and minimize sagging.

      I invite you to book a virtual consultation with me, and we can go through everything in detail. I can customize a skincare routine that's suitable to your needs, and discuss an anti-aging diet that can support your skin during this process. Clean eating is not enough. You'll need high-quality, protein, collagen, and creatine, among other foods and supplements. It sounds like a lot. But we can work on a program that fits your needs together.

      Hi Rosemary, Pigmentation can be a complex issue. The first step is to eliminate the culprits. There are many. I will be posting a video soon on the topic. Till then, there is so much information on my website that can help guide you with a skincare routine. Go to thebeautydoctrine.com > Resources > Skincare Routines.

      How?? Can you share the recipe??

    • @amichaels1871
      @amichaels1871 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @FoodtechSimplified. No recipe needed. I first wash my face GENTLY with a little baking soda then spritz
      or spray with a little green tea then
      apply a little olive or coconut oil
      then put some plain organic Greek yogurt on my neck & face but the secret is you DONT rinse it off it actually RUBS into your skin & absorbs & it makes your skin BABY SOFT. ❤️🐨🌠

    • @thebeautydoctrine

      @@amichaels1871 With all due respect, I really hope no one follows this routine. This is a recipe for rapid aging, sensitivity, and hyperpigmentation. Baking soda is for cleaning kitchen counters, not skin. It has a PH of 9 which is very far off the skin's natural PH of about 4.5 (slightly acidic). The acidity is how the skin can actually fight off pathogens and environmental aggressors. When you apply a high PH ingredient like baking soda or bar soap, you are compromising skin health, severely drying it, advancing wrinkles, and weakening the protective lipid barrier.
      Greek yogurt is great to use maybe twice per month. Not daily. It has lactic acid, which exfoliates the skin. That's why it's feeling soft. However, the skin needs more than to feel soft for now. It needs to maintain its protective layer to prevent rapid aging and discoloration.
      If this routine is maintained for a while, the skin will suffer.

      @@amichaels1871 So glad that's the case! 😅 I'd probably still rethink the baking soda... Replace it with honey. It's amazing as a DIY remedy.

    Are jade rollers or ice cubes ok? ❤🧊

    • @thebeautydoctrine
      @thebeautydoctrine  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Jade Rollers are ok to mildly help with puffiness around the eyes. However, Ice Cubes can be harmful to the skin. It can cause blood vessels to constrict reducing blood flow to the skin surface. Ice can also cause a cold burn, which is damaging. All that being said, cold water (directly from the faucet) can provide a cooling effect and aid with puffiness. So, the temperature of the water matters. It can be cold, but not ice-cold. I hope this helps! :)
