    I've got a turbo kit sitting in my room for my gs300. I had plans that i'd install it someday but the amount of things I need to buy to have it run safe kinda turns me off the build, now that ive seen your video, I'm thinking whether or not to sell my turbo and swap my gs300 to a 1uz or 3uz. Love the turbo noises but the reliability of a N/A especially v8 is just *chef's kiss*.

    One more thing. The engine brackets on the UZ’s can be swapped from right to left. Meaning you can mount the left one on the rights and vice versus. Swapping sides will move the engine forward or backwards a couple inches. Swapping sides might move the motor forwards and eliminate the need to clearance the crossmember as long as the GS400 oil pan is used.

      It's very interesting to know that I did not know they could move it forward or back. However, I had to clear into the crossmember for the oil pan because the oil pan was too far back. However, the shifter hole was too far forward and I had to cut my trans tunnel

    Great info Freddie. I’m afraid that rubber cap is going to disintegrate very shortly. I’ve rarely seen them last long that 2-3 months when used as vacuum caps. Don’t want you to loose brakes through lose of fluids.

    I have a gs400 and im looking to run an ecu that i can tune, but i really just need the basics. I dont plan on going forced induction, nor am i trying to make big power. I just wanna free up as much power in my daily as possible. How do you think the spitronics will work on my car?

    • @PoorManMods
      @PoorManMods  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't think it would be worth the money or effort in your case. I'd stick with the stock ECU if it's working for you.

    When you put hids in the 240 did you ever find out what brand they were? I cant find anything similar for my 180

    • @PoorManMods
      @PoorManMods  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd go with LEDs now, not HIDs

    Will you be using a bias valve to dial in the brakes?

    • @PoorManMods
      @PoorManMods  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll install one if I feel like I need one when the car gets running

      Please keep us posted on it. My '02 is black and a little rough. It's a toss up between a LS and a Uz.
      Chevy would be more 'easier' power, but Uz seems like less work, but not a whole lot of power.

    GS300, GS400 or GS430 steering rack swap will help.

      is there much more room again from swaping the rack.

    • @ianmedina6194
      @ianmedina6194 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I can personally attest to this, if you look at a picture of the racks is300 vs GS300/400/430 you can see there is a roughly 1" gap from the distance where it (the rack) bolts in on driver side and the steering shaft. The is300 doesn't have that gap, I swapped in gs430 rack and it cleared stock exhaust manifolds beautifully.

    Better wrap that header if it's that close to the steering rack, otherwise you might melt the bastard.... at minimum you'll shorten the life of it to excessive HEAT. I really hope you painted the frame you beat the shit out of....

    • @PoorManMods
      @PoorManMods  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure if I'll wrap the header, but I will paint all the metal I hit
