    I work with audio every day and have a pair of the MW65s. I DO NOT recommend you buy from M&D.
    They sound amazing. The MW65 have beryllium drivers and sound better to my ears than any headphones I've had, and are actually worth the price from that perspective.
    The build quality seemed great with aluminum and lambskin, again, worth the price if you want premium finishes.
    The problem is that they pass the wire connecting the left and right cups through an exposed hinge in your headphones. A design flaw. Every time you adjust, put on, or take off your headphones, the wire is chafing in this hinge. This means every set of headphones has a very limited lifespan before this wire dies and one ear stops working.
    This is a proprietary wire that passes more than just a channel of audio because of their noise cancelling mic array, and repair shops cannot do anything. I've tried four pro audio shops. Beyond this, M&D refused to help and couldn't supply parts to either myself or the repair shop.
    If you want a gorgeous pair of amazing sounding headphones that have a year and a half ish until they're a paperweight, buy these. Otherwise AVOID.

    I snagged the MW50+ for £55 as John Lewis here in the UK had them on clearance down from £280 and I really like the M+D sound. Mine come with over-ear and on-ear pads that you can swap, so I'm good for any type of listening. The style and comfort are next level, and I don't need ANC so they suit me fine. I love them but I doubt I'd have paid near the full price. Definitely good sound but with a style focus, but then again they are based in Brooklyn!

    with the wireless adapter you can choose to only flip up one of the 3.5mm poles, notice that its not dual mono (dual mono has only 1 black ring), but dual stereo. this is how you would use it with consoles or any regular stereo 3.5mm jack.

    Theres currently little to no software for bluetooth 5.2 only the chips themselves. So if a company wants to implement that then they have to write the whole shebang themselves. This is why even though the chips have been available for 2 years almost very few products come with Bluetooth 5.2.

    The UGreen 100w USB-PD chargers often don't work. They don't report 100w capable and have the tendency to charge by going on-off-on-off-on-off (you'll hear it if you have a device that makes a noise when the charger is connected). Couldn't keep my Asus Rog laptop charged for an hour while gaming, while a 65watt charger could keep it above 50% for a few hours.

If you're talking about more business/travel/wireless oriented headphones with NC, there are brands such as B&W, Harman Kardon, and B&O, which all have that 'posh' look you're talking about.

    I'll add another comment, because it's kinda unrelated to the previous one, but I so wish that more bluetooth headphone manufacturers, including Bose themselves, would steal what Bose did for multi-device pairing back when Bluetooth didn't support just having multiple feeds and switching based on which one was playing audio. Back then, you could use the switch on the outer face of the earcup and push it up to cycle between the connected devices. I used this feature so much on my on-ear Bose bluetooth headphones, because I'd rather it just give me manual control over what I was connected to rather than just glitch out when it can't determine what it should be playing audio from. Just give me manual device switching so I can switch it between my computer and my phone without needing to unpair and re-pair with the one device I want to connect to at that time, because, quite frankly, bluetooth multi-device simultaneous pairing just isn't up to snuff yet. Maybe it works flawlessly in the Apple ecosystem, it honestly wouldn't surprise me in the least if they'd figured out how to make that work like magic, but in the 3rd party space, it just isn't good enough by a long shot. So just let ME choose what I want to connect with.

    Something I missed was talking about the Mic (you might've, while I zoned out). I was burned on the Sony WH-1000 M3 because reviewers (which this is not, but still) either didn't mention (it, or) how absolute crap it is, or lied by saying it was either decent or good.

    • @naunau311
      @naunau311 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's bad. Mics on TWS earbuds/headphones are always bad. That's why you heard reviewers say that it was "decent" or "good" for the sonys, it's because it's being assessed relatively speaking.

    I want Sony MX5s (mic, noise cancelling, app) to have a three-way baby with Arctis Nova Pros (business / online meeting use, features, hide-able mic) and Mass Drop Pandas (sound quality). I'd definitely pay $600 USD or more for that. Make them rain proof and OMG, it's the holy freaking grail. Especially in the age of remote work, open seating arrangements in offices, and business travel, there are a ton of people who make good money who would consider this a business tool that fit their personal lives as well.

    For about half this price you can buy a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pros. I know that these serve a totally different purpose, because they’re portable, Bluetooth headphones, but with the leftover money you could then also nearly buy a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 35 IIs which are very good portable, Bluetooth headphones. I don’t see how these headphones could compete with that combination and I think they’re expensive for the sake of being expensive.

    These headphones interest me because they actually look nice unlike the airpods which are just not offensive. I think for then to really get that status of "look at me I have money" they need to be a little bit thinner so they are a bit more flush with your head. But I have no idea what those adapters you pulled out were and it seams way to expensive for the price point unless the audio is just worth that price. Also the hissing is awful for me but I've had issues with 2 sets of airpods and 1 set of pros and it was always a deal breaker. I've also heard that dankpods had a issue with hissing on his pros which was a deal breaker but they aprently sorted it out for him (they did not try sorting anything out for me with the normal 2 Gen airpods)
    Case is stupid though. The company is interesting and if they get their stuff together it seamsblike that can be the top company for style while still caring about audio quality. But right now it seams like their getting 90% of the way on a lot of stuff. Example: the headphones look amazing, but they need to be a bit thinner. They sound pretty freaking good, there's a hissing issue. They are really nice quality, there super expensive.
