      I'm really new to video editing and audio editing. Would recording like this allow you to separate the channels and mute them at any which time during editing? Also is there a way to connect more than two mics to a phone? That's the limit of mics on a phone? Thanks!

    I'm still amazed at iPhones HDR video capabilities and wonder when something like that will filter over to pro cameras.. I mean, look at the interior shot with that window and you could see everything in there without having to do much editing at all.. Most cameras would not be able to handle that without pushing them sooooooo hard (maybe Arri or something like that could but nothing in my price range).. Great video as always Carlos!

      If you get the NEW Rode wireless go 2 Stephanie, you can use the Rode Sc16 lead, to input audio directly into the usb-c port of your phone. The advantage of this, is new wireless Go 2 outputs two separate audio channels via USB, and your phone can then record this in stereo. Ordinarily, a phone can only accept one channel, when recording through it's 3.5mm headphone/mic jack. Hope this helps :)

  • @Mikkel111
    @Mikkel111 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Is it also possible to record stereo?
    Does it just mix 2 inputs into mono? Or does it record 2 channels so it’d be possible to record a left and right mic?

    • @carlosq00

    • @carlosq00
      @carlosq00  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you need more than two mics into the phone, you might be better off with a small mixer. Imagine that you had say four channels feeding into the phone (which is possible with two specialty breakout cables) the discipline and technique from each of the 4 guests so they don't speak over each other and crowd the mix is going to be something very difficult to manage.

    Hey Carlos, I have two of the Rode Wireless Go.. and I have had production issues where if you use both at the same time and are about 5 meters away the audio cuts out on one of them. You have to be fairly close and have LOS. Have you ran into a similar issue?
