Love you Rupert! Look forward to your next book. You have single-handedly changed the way I experience "my life".

"Who I am?" is sufficient ! Can you STOP at that point quietly!!
"Where I am?" adds a label to That "I" (which is everywhere, everything and ever it IS.)
If one can stay quietly without wandering as a simple "Being" then that becomes the answer to "who I am?"
Who I am? = You are That by which you know you are.

Although we can not label ...what are the closest answers?
Who am I ? ....pure consciousness?
    Where am I ? .. everywhere?
    Thank you:)

The experience "I am" is still object to awareness is it not? Can I therefor rely on it?

contemplate your I feeling until that question no longer matters

    • @sactubeicici

Yes. Rely on experience. All experiences. Whatever that knows the experiences, does it come and go with the experiences? does it share the limits of the objects that it know? Rupert has broken this down in self remembering. attention is directed from whatever that is known to that which knows them "I"

There is a point of view of "I" where the point of view disolves.

If self-enquiry is performed perfectly and the mind sinks into its source and thus we arrive at its birthplace then why am I still aware of phenomena throughout of and on completion of the enquiry? Thoughts momentarily cease as a result, granted, but how come I am still aware of sensory experience (e.g seeing or hearing) how come experience doesn't just end altogether upon revealing the birthplace/source replicating the non-objective deep sleep state? After all, you state that the BOTH are the source (both deep-sleep and the mind sinking into the heart via ''who am I?'' - same source but by different means right?)
So.... (thought subsidence aside) why the maintenance of other sensory experiences throughout and on completion of a successful ''who am I?'' enquiry? (as opposed to deep-sleep)

Of course you can label something you do not know. It has the label - "something you do not know"

"something you do not know" is a concept that is known. He's speaking about how you can't know something you don't know, and then label it. You can't deny that if you can label it, you know what the label is. Thus it's not something unknown on the label. The label is, by nature, a known made of words and concepts.
