there was Samo Empire in the 6th century and even older kingdom of White Slavs around Kievan Rus in Ukraine, so how could be a later settled region by slavs in south-west the oldest country?
Napoleon only entered Bratislava, but he did it twice. In 1805 (without casualties, as a part of Hungarian neutrality deal, while every household had to feed up to 50 of his men basically eating and drinking the town dry) and in 1809 (after a month and a half of heavy bombing and hundreds of causualties, the city was finally forced to give up by the Austrian overlords as a ceasefire deal - there was a "funny" dynamic btw Austria and Hungary at that time, two countries with one emperor...) There was nothing of interest for Napoleon here, except of taking Bratislava (called Pressburg at that time) and Devin (part of today's Bratislava, ancient settlement inhabited since neolitic times) for it's strategic position overlooking the confluence of Danube an Morava rivers - important merchant routes. The infamous Russia campaign took the route through todays Poland. Anyway, this was quite important for Bratislava's history, showcasing how much either of the two countries of that one Austro-Hungarian empire "cared". I guess, Napoleon is one of many reasons why Bratislava isn't Austrian or Hungarian nowadays. (not so) fun fact: For a brief moment, Napoleon's army was stationed at Devin castle. It's unclear if someone didn't pay attention and the powder room blew up taking the castle with it, or if the army just blew it up for sh*ts and giggles. It's been a ruin beyound repair since.
You are nearly right, but should correct the fact that Slovakia was ruled over by Hungarians for 1000 years. Ungary was a multiethnical country. Not many people know that Magyarorszag (modern day Hungary) was not even part of Kingdom of (H)Ungary for nearly 200 years. Those days we were called The Royal Ungary. But thanks for making the video!
@iAdam43 Of course, if you compare Slovakia to some countries in South America, Africa, or Asia 🤣 But I live in Western Europe, and here is nothing to compare to Slovakia despite having cheaper alcohol, cigarettes, and some services, and that's about it.

Greetings from Hungary! I found the video both interesting and largely accurate, though I'd like to point out that there's no historical evidence of war or mass graves coinciding with the Hungarian migration; it was a peaceful process. I reside near Budapest, in a village home to the second-largest Slovak population. Here, the local Slovak (Tóth) heritage is greatly respected. We have joint cultural events, people sing in both languages, and our school provide bilingual education. The highlight of our yearly village heritage day, attended by thousands, is a performance by a Slovak or Czech band. The kind of opposition I sometimes read about or see in videos, like the comments below this, strikes me as odd. Many of my colleagues are Slovak, and people from Budapest often visit Slovakia as if it's their second home. We here enjoy cycling and practicing yoga in tranquil spots along both sides of the Danube. Generally, everything is harmonious, and I feel that the people here are quite similar. On a personal note, my grandparents and their families lived around Bratislava. They were deported to Hungary at different times, where they eventually met. Others from their 4 language speaking village were relocated to various parts of Czechoslovakia. I believe there has always been a mixing of people in this region. Now, we all speak English, so I wonder what issues could possibly arise between such close neighbors, friends, and relatives.
