Great video and tutorial man! Awesome how one can save tons of cash with a cheap iPhone or iPad and the Xtone! I've been using a cheap Beringher UA202 soundcard but the quality is not on par with the tone you're getting. So definitely it means the Xtone is producing the quality audio interface and paired with the GELabs software the tone is there. Would love your thoughts ir a similar video using it with Overloud-THU. Subscribed❤❤

Actually tes, You can, but there si a bug in line 6 helix software (helix native too) that sometimes disable the ability to turn off stompboxes, instead of turn off/on every time You press a footswitch, i don't know how to fix it but sometimes it works as it's supposed

I like everything that this features an very interested but just wanted to know how will this work if I want to record guitar using a real amp.. I mean standard amp with a mic going to a DAW. Any insight on that?
Yes, it'll work in that setup. Use XLR input for the mic you'll use on your guitar amp

Did you notic quality differences between the small and the pro in terms of latency and sound? I consider to use the xtone-duo as an interface and forego the extra midi functionalities of the pro.
They're the same latency-wise

ahh If only I have seen this earlier.. already bought used Behringer FCB1010, huge :(. Mr. Perf- have you tried playing live using vst/ apps? Is the sound good? I often play via headphones only. I wonder how this app will sound straight to house mixer.
I've used Jamup in live gigs with a Line Sonicport VX. The XTone feels and works much better
Sir Perf, do you have any idea if this could work as a midi controller for the NUX MG 300? I’ve been using my xtone pro for 2years with bias fx2 but using an ipad during live performance is kind of a little hassle for me. Thank you!

Great review sir perf.. I had the smaller one (home used only, di nababagsak, used with the supplied cables, used only 2 or 3x a month only.etc.} however it didn’t last for 7 months. Magnda sana kso d matibay...i got a bad unit cgro pero dpt walang bad unit kc mahal ung unit, what’s the use of their quality control.haha. Just sharin my experience with the pedal..thanks..

Perfecto De Castro yes sir...they told me to make a video demoing the problem of the unit so i did..after telling me to do this,that,connect this first and that, etc. nothing happened..so they told me they were sorry i got a bad unit..they told me i can ship the unit to them for repair sympre on my expense sbi ko d na lang no more budget for that..ok ung interface dmi pde mapag gamitan..un lng malas tgal ko p nmn pinagipunan...reality s buhay simpleg musikero ipon n lng ulit at sana d n makaengkwentro c bad unit...haha.. tnx for the reply sir perf! 2023 edit: I SOLD IT shortly after I got it and urge users to AVOID this pedal!, see my new comment below, I'll leave my original review here on this comment:
I have to mention something about the switches and MIDI implementation for anyone wanting it to use it for more serious MIDI control: there's a BIG issue in that the switches send MIDI commands only on "release" of the switch and not on the "pressing" of them (I confirmed this with a MIDI monitor utility that shows you the exact timestamps and all details of the MIDI messages: MIDI-OX on PC and MIDI Check on iOS) this creates extra latency and it's useless to assign it to loopers or anything that requires precise MIDI control, The manual details how to access several MIDI modes (latching, momentary and toggle) plus the 3 banks for a total of 18 switches plus 3 different continuos control for expression pedal per bank... the switches issue makes it unusable for precise MIDI control, even the IK multimedia Blueboard is better for that: on the BlueBoard it correctly registers a MIDI command on "Pressing" and another one on "Releasing" the switch (as most MIDI controllers do!) and as I said, the Xtone pro "momentary" mode (mode 2) has an error as it sends 0 and 127 at the SAME time rendering useless the momentary mode!, the switches should be sending MIDI data BOTH on pressing them and also on release but the customer support says "that's is not a bug, it´s a feature" as they say "they programmed it that way as the Xtone access the different mode changes via long press of the switches and they don't want it to send a MIDI command on the "press" as it'd send MIDI data while changing modes"... Also, the continuos control does not fully send 0-127 as it skips every 8 steps, so if you see it on a MIDI monitor you'll see going in values of "0-7-15-23-31... etc." instead of "0-1-2-3-4-5" and so on, this creates a "stepped" effect if you assign it to a volume control or something that requires fine continuos values as you'll hear the values "jumping" instead of a smooth transition from 0 to 127... I've had it for 3 days and it's been 2 times where it also stops sending MIDI messages at all, audio keeps passing but no MDI internally or externally, have to reboot it many times in order to get it to work again, it's NOT reliable at ALL!.... Hope that info is valuable for anyone wanting to use this for precise MIDI control as it does not work correctly for that
