The best body skin care I have ever received was from a dermatologist in the 1970s. It was for my keratosis pilaris (little dry skin bumps on upper arms and thighs). After bathing or showering, the doc advised applying Nivea body cream on damp skin. Damp skin is key. It resulted in the most moist, soft, smooth skin.

Yes! It's called soak and slather. I use Cerevè ointment. I take a shower and slather on the ointment right before bed and wake up with baby soft skin.

Damp skin is the secret! I apply almond oil after shower on damp skin. Sometimes follow by a lotion. So good.

As a child in the 80s I had a denim jacket my mom sewed big flowers on the back that she cut out from drapery fabric samples. I loved it and I need to make my own now! Also, the melting metals trend is beautiful but scary because it reminds me of the T-1000 from Terminator 2.

I’m 64 and already have 1/2 of what’s trendy! I’m an on line seller & my vintage thrifted items always sell very well. I also love fashion so kept many items I wore in the late 70’s & 80’s. BTW……our earrings in the 80’s were the size of solar panels

As a mid-30s woman as well I'd suggest start small and/or with a practical bow. Like you might tie/pin a bow on your bag or get a blouse with an in build bow around the neck. I also love to braid in some ribbon and tie my braids closed into a bow. A velvet ribbon is also nice as a pony tail tie and gives me a lot of historic vibes. Or replace shoe laces with ribbons, voila small but practical bow. Longer silk scarves also tie nicely and woolen winter hats look a bit silly on everyone, so thats the perfect place to pin a bow to (especially on berets).

The unique-make-it your-own jean jacket trend is cool. I remember watching the video for 'Stop Me If You Think You Heard This One Before" by The Smiths and all these cool guys in the video had unique denim jackets with artwork of Morrissey, The Smiths album covers, Elvis Preseley etc. that I went out and had my denim jacket painted on the back with the album cover of "The Queen is Dead" by The Smiths. This was back in 1985.

I'm most excited about the melted metal trend. The nail polish looks amazing.
So many of these trends remind me a bit of the 80s, I was a teenager then 😁
I'm in my 50s now and I like classic pieces with some edgy thrown in. But I do like trying small things that can change up my accessories, nails and makeup, things that aren't difficult to add and mix with old favorites.

None of my clothes are 'fashionable' but I do try to look fresh by making sure all my clothes are clean , mended (if a button comes off etc). Wow, I can actually wear some of these trends this year! I have the skin tones for silver, so I'm loving that melted metal trend. Also, I like the thrifted grandpa look. As disparate as they are, I actually think you could wear them together. I really liked the liquid silvery rings and would like to see how those looked in gold, which is my better tone. I would also like to see that as earrings in smaller sizes, almost like melted onto the ear lobe. And maybe even as a necklace, but "melting" only to one side of the neck. Just looks so organic and plain old pretty.

Some of these things just don't feel new though... But like, not "making a comeback" either. Skincare has been extremely over hyped for like 5 years now, and dermatologists will tell you it's mostly the same stuff in different packaging, and the actual good stuff rarely comes in aesthetically pleasing packaging. Same with the denim jackets, the embroidery and thrifting, that has been in for a while now. I kind of wish Pinterest did like an "underrated gems" collection rather than just a list of stuff we see all over the internet anyway

I surely prefer tha last trend - metallic. But will use as accessories as earrings, -finger rings, sandals or ballerina s. Combined with my quiet luxury style. To go with it I do have a small purce in silver, but for daily use I'll use my new gift for myself, my crossbody bag from Justine Leconte in stone blue ❤

Oh I am so glad silver is back! In 1998 when I was a teen I had a silver jacket and loved it!

Your jumper looks so good on you, it makes your eyes sparkle. 😊 Also, I use both Nuxe and Caudalie so I feel reasonably on trend. 😂

I think I will restrict myself to crazy hair and huge statement earrings. Somehow not warming up to the retro trends.

Less excited for these trends than the last few seasons, but the old school chunky sweaters and big hair with bows is still so fun!!

The Body Shop will have a resurgence in popularity this year because of the glowy skin trend. Mark my words. They’re known for their body butter, especially their satsuma orange scent. They also have a spray that is a body moisturizing oil spray that isn’t oily. It’s been around for years. You think of body sprays and never think moisturizing, but these are dry sprays but don’t dry your skin out

I really like all of these trends, especially the fluid metal jewelry! I doubt I’ll be incorporating bows into my wardrobe, but they look cute on others.

My favourite trend is the denim jacket as I wear one every transition season 😂 love bows, I usually wear them as a print on my socks. And the vest, my favourite combo with white shirt. Loved this video. Thank you 😊

I love those drapey bow earrings, gorgeous! Grandpa chic looks like the old money trend just a bit more forced. I will be tying bows on my handbags and wearing some bow brooches on my denim jacket. This year is exciting, feminine and fun. I am happy!

I collect mirror silver shoes and just bought some penny loafers to add to the collection. Yes to "head-2-glow" but probably no to the rest. At 66 I will look like a real grandpa if I try to rock Eclectic Grandpa!!!

I naturally have wavy hair that becomes voluminous with humidity, so I am quite happy about the undone/volume kind of look. And the bows, I have loved them since I was a girl. I actually think the bow trend comes from China, I have seen bows in hair and accessories there two years ago and felt a bit jealous.

The molten metal just immediately reminds me of Janet Jackson and Busta Rhymes' video from when I was a highschooler. I mean all the clothes I see on people today on the street, I just go back to high school days....crazy. But then again I am turning 40 this year HAHA

Merci, Justine! You look especially beautiful in that color. These trends are fun to see both editorially & in the wild. I've been taking good care of my body skin since my teens, so I guess that's my trend by default. I do love the liquid metallics, though I'm not sure I'm ready for the impending onslaught of chrome. The Gucci grandpa look is cute, & the bow thing is rather fabulous & could go horribly wrong.
