Indeed. The road noise in Mazda 2 is just loud. Needs to improve its NVH.

Crazy that the 2017 and the new 2018 Toyota Yaris IA, which is the Mazda 2 in the United States, comes with none of these new features on the 2017 or 2018 IA. I guess Toyota doesn't want to update the IA because it would take a big chunk of the regular Toyota Yaris and maybe even the Corolla sales
... I finally got over the SUV syndrome I changed my EcoSport TITANIUM 2017 ... Friends I just made a demo that belonged to VEHICULOS DEL CAMINO ... Mazda 2 Grand Touring LX SEDAN (red mazda) ... 2020 model with only 4 thousand kms .....! I am happy ! ... and you know that I am fascinated by everything: it also has a CD system ..

God damn it Mazda! Why can’t you bring this to the US!? Personally, I do not like the sedan. This looks 10 times better!

Too bad they don't sell it in the U.S, although there is a sedan clone Toyota version, but the hatchback version just looks so much better.

Mazda just cant get on top of road noise - we have a 2015 Model Mazda SP25 Astina and its considerably noisier than our 2010 VW Golf GTI.

fucking roadnoise in every mazda thatswhy i stay away from mazda ended up buying subaru
arab s I only owned Mazdas (now #7 since 2008) and never had a problem with the noise, even on the rough roads in Thailand. But Mazda will improve this now. The new CX-5 and CX-9 Ae already much more quieter and the the other models will follow.
A rule of thumb, the sportier the vehicle is, the more road noise you will get inside the cabin ;)

mazda did say that the roadnoise being there is intentional because they found that many people enjoy driving more if they are able to "hear the road".
