117-117 career record. Never an all pro. 360 TDs to 240 INTs. He was an available starter that had 2 great postseason runs with gritty team. He made enough clutch plays when he finally did make the playoffs to be remembered and loved by Giants fans. But a great?? I don’t think anyone outside NY would confuse him with that.
As a Cowboys fan, I remember this game - and every game - like it was yesterday. Looking back at it now, as we fast forward to 2024 (going on 2025), the thing that now stands out (all these years, it was Emmitt Smith WAVING BYE-BYE to the Giants defense on his TOUCHDOWN RUN) is, the Giants BETTER STAY AWAY from drafting QB's from Duke (Dave Brown, now Daniel Jones).
