First Impressions Drive Through Poughkeepsie, NY - Get Lost With Me [4K]

In my ✨ Get Lost With Me ✨ video series I will be documenting my first impressions and drives through various cities. Unlike my Driving ASMR videos there may be minimal talking, beeping, etc. when I need directions, to turn around, etc.
Poughkeepsie, NY is a charming residential city! This drive features the downtown areas, some retail areas with box stores, and the surrounding areas of Vassar College. I was especially impressed with the development of the Walkway Over the Hudson path, which was under construction. It seemed like it may have some businesses and tourist info centers by spring or early summer this year. To me, the construction somewhat resembled the High Line in NYC as far as the pathway, views, and the fact that it’s clearly an attraction for tourists, but still functional for residents.

I have to ask, if you’re a New Yorker do you consider Poughkeepsie to be in “Upstate” New York?

Nice video, I’m from Poughkeepsie & was just walking on some of these same streets today. Poughkeepsie can be like 2 different worlds depending on the area you live in & the people you involve yourself with. You drove pretty close to the building I live in right next to the fountain ⛲️

I go here every Easter/Thanksgiving/Christmas, my relatives live in Poughkeepsie
So I was actually born not to far from here. I moved from there with my family when I was 7 to the north country. These bring back early childhood memories.

Lived there in the 1970s, if you leave the city of Poughkeepsie, and drive to the town of Poughkeepsie it was more country the further you drive on route 44
