I lived there 10 years ago. Retired and moved to South Florida. You know what I like the most about this video? I can watch it, shut it off, and thank God I don't live there anymore!! It's not that the city doesn't try to improve it's looks. I hate to say it, but so many of the residents don't give a damn about their environment. The city builds, and the residents just want to destroy public/private property causing it to look so ghetto. And those same citizens complain! No one builds ghettos!

There is a sales tax in VT. Some people drive to NH to buy appliances abd such, just to avoide the sales tax.

I go here every Easter/Thanksgiving/Christmas, my relatives live in Poughkeepsie

Next time, maybe get out the car and walk the streets.

Plattsburg is a nice dynamic border town lots to do and see with a cool downtown ❤

I loved for about 2 and half years in St Albans. I was stationed at the old Radar Base. This brought back some old memories.

All the New York City people moved to Hudson and ruined it !!! It is not the Hudson I grew up in . They made everything so expensive that only the NYC people can afford to live there. I hate what they have made Hudson to be !!!

Back in the day Hudson missed out on being the New York State Capitol by only one or two votes. I grew up 7 miles down the road from there [[1960 to mid 1972]] and we all considered this town to be a dump. No one I know actually wanted to live there. Too much crime, poverty, and decay........even back then.

My wife grew up in Troy. We live up the Northway now in Boston Lake. She turned out great from growing up in Troy

Was special when mom would take me downtown on the bus from Hamburg Street. The Carl Company, Wallaces, Woolworths, all had beautiful stores. Apex Records where you go in and actually listen to a record before buying it. Three movie theaters: The Plaza up on State Street hill, the Proctors and the State. The holidays were like magic when the city was all decorated and the store windows were a wonderland come true.

That wasn’t a school it was the immigration building the second one was indeed the highschool there’s also two middle schools

I lived in a little house next to Rt 9 under the water tower just above Cumberland Head, then moved into town. Graduated in '74, attended SUNY there, then left to join the Navy. I loved living in Plattsburgh, not too large, and not too small. The airbase was still there at the time. The graduating class of high school had only one graduation party and everyone went. Of course, things have changed, but I was pleased to see that Claire and Carl's and Gus's were still there. The Monopole still has great pizza.

It looks like a calm and tidy rural town. I was born in St Albans UK, and now live near St Albans, Victoria, Australia; both densely populated.

I grew up in Hudson in the 70's. It was nice small town. Today I can hardly recognize it. It's been taken over by the NYC douchers and Hipsters.

Nice video, The bowling alley next to where jc penny use to be, has been gone for years. Use to go bowling there back in the 80's,90s. Use to Like going to wool Worth department store, Ben Franklins, and radio shack before they closed. I'm sure anyone that went to the radio shack use to remember the old guy that worked there forever, he was so friendly and always willing to help. Miss those day. thanks for the video down memory lane.
