chen is definitely one of the best vocalists of sm. he's only 24 (25 korean age) and he is just unbelievable. as a baekhyun stan i can 110% say that chen is the best vocalist in exo. baekhyun is amazing as well (especially his high notes) but chen's vocal range is outstanding. xiumin is also a good vocalist and so is suho. but yeah. jongdae is definitely up there with some of the big vocalists of sm - kyuhyun, ryeowook, boa etc.

Like I expected, KRY are all here. My boys 💙 Onew's voice is pretty special. As for the new generation, I love Wendy and Seulgi (my bias in RV) voice, also Jaehyun from NCT :) But I honestly also think DBSK has the best vocalists, too. 5 of them are all amazing and full of passion and as an ELF, I respect and admire those boys so much 👌🏻
Mardhiah Kamaruddin ....DO's voice has control, I believe on u that, but his high note isn't enough to be compare with Baekhyun, esp Chen. If Suho and Xiumin giving opportunity their voices can be same or better than D.O....just SM give him more exposure than Suho an Xiumin...its what I think, like Kai in dancing that LY is even better with all diff style of dancing, Kai mostly dance is like gymnastic or a robatic, Lays more style dancing. Bonus is that Taeyeon has not easy times for SNSD highnotes, whereas Wendy pulls off highnotes in RV like Zimzalabim highnotes' last 0.5sec with crazy power like it's nothing. Mardhiah Kamaruddin ....DO's voice has control, I believe on u that, but his high note isn't enough to be compare with Baekhyun, esp Chen. If Suho and Xiumin giving opportunity their voices can be same or better than D.O....just SM give him more exposure than Suho an Xiumin...its what I think, like Kai in dancing that LY is even better with all diff style of dancing, Kai mostly dance is like gymnastic or a robatic, Lays more style dancing. I think if Sehun giving a chance his dancing can all be better. Well Kai is more younger than Lay to have more stamina or energy...lol!

Having great vocal technique isn’t only about belting high notes. Vocal agility is another factor to say someone has great vocals. Also, reaching high notes is not that great if it doesn’t have proper support though.

D.o is more developed than suho and xiumin( although they trained in sm for long time more than d.o, chen and baekhyun they still lead vocal) . And the only fact you say that lay is better than kai I know. Lay is the first main dancer but sm underrate him. Please don't underrate or be a hater to d.o he is so talented. He can support up to high note Bb4 that is above baekhyun's A4s in supported range and do better than baekhyun in A4s baekhyun strains above A4 (Chen too) .. That is based on kpopvocalanalysis not me

It's probably true that Luna (or for example, Lina from SM's older groups) has a better vocal than Taeyeon. but it's debatable. But Wendy is definitely better in every way than Taeyeon. Much wider range, great in lower register too, and has crazy power, Wendy has the most power among female idols in KPop, there is just no era where Taeyeon is better (except she has a nicer vocal tone, but that doesn't matter). Bonus is that Taeyeon has not easy times for SNSD highnotes, whereas Wendy pulls off highnotes in RV like Zimzalabim highnotes' last 0.5sec with crazy power like it's nothing. Wendy is more professionally trained. There are areas where Luna is better than Wendy, so she may be better than Wendy, but there is nothing that makes Taeyeon better than Wendy. I don't know how you can listen to both artists and not notice the level difference.
