My favourite lessons👍Before it had been really hard to me to speak in English. I've practised different immitation lessons by mmm English for 2 weeks and also tried to talk to myself. This helped me to express my thoughts in English and pass IELTS exam.
Great video, mmmEnglish! In addition to that, I believe that the language learners here would be better off recording their voice while using the imitation technique. I cannot stress how helpful and rewarding it is to use a voice recorder during pronunciation practice, listen to yourself, compare your stress, pronunciation, and intonation to that of the native English speaker, and ... REPEAT till you're satisfied with the result. Is it time-consuming? Yes! Can it get tiring and frustrating sometimes? Yes! However, I can guarantee that all this hard work will, sooner or later, pay off. This is because your tongue is a muscle and when you're repeating a sound, a word, or a whole phrase till you get it right, you're basically training the muscle of your tongue to make this sound, etc. You'll eventually learn how to make it effortlessly and without really thinking. For the record, I'm an English teacher, too. :)
