      Thanks Neil, just to say thanks for your idea last week too. Ended up shortening the pipe on our waste outlet and the pot fits underneath now.

    Brilliant finish it gives the interior a more contemporary and attractive look.
    Also I think coaster comparison for size and value sees to be the better buy.
    However budget size weight and economy maybe the deciding factor for many.

    It looks great!! I'm doing the same skinner slats as opposed to the wider and think it makes it look great! I don't want it to look like all the others. Great job!

    Great result, sometimes taking a risk pays off. Procrastinating is a sign of genius, one has to be sure the moment is right..but sometimes that can take years 😊

      I am currently away (3months now) but due back early Nov, I was going to have my roof covered by material and then for the wooden slats but I think I will paint it as you have done as there will not be a great deal on show.
      Van going to A1 trimmers for seat cushions and trim soon.

    I procrastinated so much it took me 2 days to get round to posting this reply 🤣

    I love pull saws, i find them Easyer to cut a straight line with 🤔 maybe it's just me but i find them more controllable 🤪 having said that i am a total numpty when it comes to woodworking, hense my build being aluminium and Upvc 🤠
    As allways guys a great job 😎

    Haha no one wants a bit of sag! :) Ceiling looks great and we love the slats, the colour really compliments the rest of the bus (said Cat the wife) . It's something we've been thinking about and love the jig. Yes procrastination runs rife here too! :)

    You can route multiple slots in a sheet to make it look just like this if you wanted so just one celing sheet used?

    Ceiling look's great! I do like a slatted ceiling over the usual cladding or carpet lot's of people do.
    I spent a lot of time procrastinating during our build, I don't think it's a bad thing as it gives you lots of time to consider what you've done and if there's a better way to finish it 😁

    Loving the slatted ceiling - beautiful job! I found your vid just as I was * procrastinating * about ply strips v timber for my van ceiling. Loads of useful tips in your vid - thanks! Did you rent your nail gun? Guessing it was air powered?

      Thanks Simon. For the ceiling this was about 1.5 sheets of 10mm poplar plywood. It was from a place called Sydnems 😊

      Thanks so much. I bought this one some time ago amzn.to/3EMRv6u and amazingly it's 50p cheaper than I paid at the time. Would recommend as it's good value and has done the job (and others).

      @@fergusmoloney for the ceiling I used a mix of 16mm and 25mm brads. 16mm for the strips and 25mm for the end as I was nailing into a beam at that point. You can get all sorts of lengths depending on what you’re doing.

    Love all your bus build, we are building a truck camper and wanting a slatted ceiling using plywood. Did you cut your plywood strips down on a table saw?

      Thanks Paul. So on this occasion we actually got the supplier to cut it using their saw as it was very reasonable price wise to do so. If we’d had a table saw we could’ve done it.

    It is a known law that every hour spent working requires 3 hours contemplating that work, I use the same Jig method but recycle old wooden Venicican blinds instead of plywood so must also have a weird brain!
    I guess soon the Van will be finished and you will have to start making Mini videos finally?

      @@WanderbusAdventures It is mostly recommission work as it's a 78 with only 14,000 miles and they do not like sitting for 40 years only doing a few hundred a year,once I get the reverse gear working again it will be a lot less challenging 🤐
