      @@bmc9504 I know, have killed and eaten rabbits before. There's bugger all meat on a single rabbit for a chinese restaurant to use, unless they had about 20 -30 for a night. Also, it was a pet breed, not a meat breed. 30 years ago, rumour has it that a Chinese takeaway in my area had dogs in their fridge. Dunno how true that is, could be racism.

      @@curbyourshi1056 we'll never know the truth, could be there's for breeding or person consumption or could really be as a pet but what a place to keep it and in crates! I live by tonnes of canals and rumours have been going round for decades now about the ducks going missing and being sold to the Chinese for fiver a piece. Tbf I believe it 100%. Certain ducks with different coloured chests and specific look just suddenly go missing constantly. Since 2005 and certain countries joining the EU we've had a lot of stripped dead geese everywhere at the canals along with fires and tents. Nobody really cares. Messed up. Squirrel pie was a new one on me back in 2016. I believe some people will eat anything.

    If someone is stealing 36 cows they clearly know what they're doing. Cows won't just follow a stranger onto a trailer, they're stubborn animals, they're dangerous when panicked, and need to be handled by someone who knows cows. This isn't some townie snatching an animal for the pot, this is organised and took a number of people to pull off.

    I’m not surprised at the findings in these foreign food takeouts and restaurants. I train new kitchen staff at level 2 FH. I had an ex owner of a restaurant who had told me that the last time he completed this course he had his neighbour help him to complete it. I could tell that he didn’t fully understand the importance of what the course was teaching him and this led me to worry about the food kitchen he was running. Having said this he was very hygienic and is an excellent part of our team. The point here is that there are many kitchen staff that don’t take the relevant training and have no idea about food safety. It’s such a worry.

    • @WindQueen12
      @WindQueen12 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is mandatory in Australia, if you dont have certification proof of traininng, you cant operate a business. The inspectors also throw on the spot questions to staff. Aged care, hospitals are a whole other ball game with extra auditing

    Don't get me wrong I like cleanliness and we as a generation have over the years gone by becoming cleaner and dirt conscious in the kitchen areas, But the thing that I wonder upon is have we not developed anti-bodies to fight bacteria to defend our bodies? I feel if the human race becomes too clean this built up human defense will become weaker until the slightest bacterial attacks our defense system because of being far too clean, just a thought that runs through our mind, I mean we all have eaten a sandwich and perhaps put the sandwich may be on the table or even on a piece of paper while we pick up something to look at? I quite often while repairing my car have a cup of tea and a few biscuits and put my biscuits on the car bonnet, I feel that too much cleanliness will kill us in the end.

Who, of my generation remembers drinking from a tap with lip contact, a friend or two follow for their drinkfollows for his drink? As a kid we used to ask grandma for a bit of raw sausage, we licked the spoon and bowl with cake mix containing raw egg. Sharing a drink straight from pop bottles? The list is endless. In doing all those things, we developed resistance to germs. Right, off to haunt me ex!

    Watching from overseas where I work in QC fresh food at a large distribution centre.
    I Have much certification (CIEH from UK, Haccp, cold storage, i wont share all here) which I gained while overseas where I still am..
    What I see watching this is;
    Presenter and inspectors constantly touching their mouths and nose
    In a Prep area without a mask.
    In said area no gloves, wearing a ring (Huge risk)
    Wearing a watch (as above).
    Eating and sampling products in production areas.
    My main concern watching this is the actual Inspectors themselves.
    Really a total lack of basics.

    I helped out in a gamer's cafe kitchen. There was a lot to learn. Separate sinks to use, to wash up plates that had allergens on them (nuts, dairy, gluten etc). Entirely separate utensils for types of food, hand washing between preparation, date dots, a check every morning that the fridge etc was up to scratch, with a thermometer probe. We would cook a burger at the beginning of each day, and temp it, we had to wipe down the coffee machine with a certain cleaner, had to keep up on everything bring neat and I the right place, even in the middle of service.
    There were separate prep areas, and woe betide you, if you moved from meat prep and did ANYTHING other than clean your hands. It's actually hard work, some things are logical, some you wouldn't think of. Trays had to be cleaned regularly through the night, to avoid burger/food fat collecting on them and setting things on fire.
    We would have been devastated if someone got sick off of our food. It was a constant battle of cleanliness coupled with productivity, and tea towels were NOT allowed in our kitchen. Nothing could be used to wipe down and clean except for the right coloured cloth, which was washed straight after with liquid soap. Then, blue roll afterwards, which was then discarded, to dry it off. Very hard work, especially if you have to deal with customers at the same time.

    A few years ago the local Indian restaurant owner asked me to paint the toilets in his restaurant. Then he asked me to quote on another job in his kitchen. We used to regularly get a takeaway there.After seeing his Kitchen I never went back there

      @Ashley Mey. FYI most 'Indian restaurants' in Britain are Pakistani and Bangladeshi owned, I am sure you know that! If they stated the otherwise obvious ownership, most people wouldn't step in a second time, don't you know! I must know, because many a times when I've been to these restaurants, they are visibly unhygienic, selling stale food, and sometimes fly and cockroach infested! Take a look at restaurants caught by food inspectors and hidden cams, and you'll know who they actually are. As for true Indian ones, many are high end and with their reputation at stake, hardly any will cut corners especially in hygiene! Do your homework!

      @Pi at the end of the day it's loving animals they should be making sure they are safe and secure just like we do with any dog for example. farmers don't even secure there old fencing enough. the amount of times cows sometimes group of cows or sheep have been in the road escaped from the field. now what happens when someone driving round the corner with baby and kids in the car smashes in to a cow and kills them. who's to blame and how it obviously could of been prevented.

    I just watched the Green Watch kitchen inspection and thought I must be dead and didn't know. In my late 70's I chuckled at the inspector and his findings and the dire warnings. Who, of my generation remembers drinking from a tap with lip contact, a friend or two followed for their drink? As a kid we used to ask grandma for a bit of raw sausage, we licked the spoon and bowl with cake mix containing raw egg. Sharing a drink straight from pop bottles? Eating a sandwich or picnic without washing our hands. Wot, no sink in that field? The list is endless. In doing all those things, we developed resistance to germs. Right, off to haunt me ex! 👻💀😊
