But there are different types if intravenous solutions which are given in different situations: 1.Dextrose injection solution is used in hospitalized patients for nutrition support, to treat low blood sugar, and to decrease high potassium levels in the blood. 2. Glucose is given to person who cannot eat because of illness, trauma, too much alcohol or other medical condition 3. Glucagon It is used to quickly increase blood sugar levels in diabetics with low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). 4. Normal Saline (0.95% Sodium Chloride) 5. Ringer’s Solution which contains sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride and sodium bicarbonate.
It varies and depends on many things. One can study Medical Microbiology under these: In a Government medical college through entrance exam and getting merit seat. Here also you will have quota seats as per your marks. In a private medical college. In a central government institution with all India Entrance Exam or In an autonomous University. So it depends where you joins- the fees varies.
