I had to laugh.. I did 2 fenders today. One took an hour and 15 minutes, fought me all the way. The second one took 35 minutes and went on like I knew what I was doing. Lesson learned, just because I used one slip mixture one day, it may not be the same mixture the next day. I had ppf slipping all over the place, where the day before it was fine. Another lesson, don't wear blue jeans while applying ppf. I had blue lint all over the place. On one fender I had little black specks all over the place, I get one out, then there's 3. I have no idea where the black specks are coming from. I have great respect for anyone who can install PPF with professional results.
This is cracking me up. Thank you for sharing your trials and tribulations. I wish I could say I don't ever have these types of problems anymore.. but I do. It's just a lot less frequently. 😁 The temperature can make a pretty big difference on how the film reacts to the slip. I do notice that I add more soap to my slip in the hotter months. Pants and even shoes can soak up a lot of water! What is your process for cleaning a car before you start an installation? You need to pressure wash every crevice VERY well. That will make a huge difference! Thank you again for sharing, and I'm sure I can help you lessen some of these issues.

What brand ppf are you using? Seems very installer friendly!
I'm pretty sure that in this video, we are using PremiumShield NextGen.
