NO ONE has have more influence, positive influence, in Herbal communities, in the past 60 years. She is such a National Treasure. A very lovely person. Generous and happy to give and share her knowledge to everyone. Beautiful interview. Beautiful person.
This was amazing. I've never heard Rosemary speak before. She is wonderful, and I love what she says about valuing our elders. I am an aspiring herbalist and this was just the motivation that I needed! Thank you both. ❤
Glad you enjoyed the interview! Have you seen her new mini-doc we just released? Here's the link if not: th-cam.com/video/-Dt3jmXn7Wg/w-d-xo.html ~Mason
Thank you so much for this. I was at this Herb Faire and was so honored to meet her in person. This was perfect timing for me to watch this today, as I have been so aggravated and disturbed by current events. Listening to this has helped me focus on the plants, by going out in the woods and seeing my plants and trees which helped me to relax, recenter and set off on a better path. ❤ Rosemary's message is very uplifting and gives me hope.
Hearing the story about the rental car made me think that I have to tell you this story, I work for a medical transportation company, and the other day I had to pick up this older man in his 80's from one nursing home and bring him to other nursing home. (the new one I was bringing him to is much nicer than where he was at-good thing) So I pick him up and they give me 1 box and 1 bag, these are his belongings. So, we get into the van (he is in a wheelchair, so he is in the back) As we are driving, I notice him really looking around and I thought to myself he is going to his last home to live, and he is capturing all the sights for a last time. And I get really sad (as I am just telling you this) and I don't want him to see I am crying. This man is alone, no one is with him, no one is meeting him at his new home. And just thinking this makes me even sadder!! I tell him he is really going to like his new place. As we get to the nursing home it just happens to be music hour where people come in and play music and helpers go around and make wheelchairs dance, its wonderful!! Well, I see this man smile as I bring him to watch a bit before I bring him to his new living area. I am happy he is here, and I hope he is too.
This story touched my heart! What a wonderful reminder that each person we come in contact w has a soul. If we try to treat everyone we come in contact with, the way we hope to be treated, my goodness, what a wonderful place this would would be. ❤
My most go to herbalists in the world Rosemary Gladstar I started my research into the herb world with her . I've learned so much about herbs from her 23 years and still going strong. God bless you sweet lady🙏❤️🙏
Awww 💚Rosemary is always a delight and a deep well of nourishing crystal wisdom & that giggle - Sharing the stories so fun Juliette ❤️ thankful she brought her over Mason you are a wonderful interviewer I love how the conversations flow with you and are not shallow they go deep and are real with a certain amount of whimsy I always learn something new too So thank you ! Really enjoying all these interviews on Herb Rally I often listen while I’m making plant medicine I feel much gratitude in having been able to live in the time back in the day and now sharing the planet with Rosemary Juliette James Green ( CSHS ) Richo , Jim,Mathew Wood , Judith Hill Robert Bartlet , Kathleen Harrison Stephen Bruhner Jerry Garcia 😉 and many more (Judith Hill could be a great interview, medical astrologist , author and teacher artist , musician and an amazing herbalist! Kathleen Harrison would be wonderful too ! Kat has an interesting history with plants mushrooms and people as an ethnobotanist, educator, author, artist , and of course an herbalist The village is big with groovy ‘elders ‘ 😊) Stay well, Hilary
Wow thank you so much for this, Hilary! I told myself, "as long as I'm halfway decent after doing 100 interviews, I'll be happy". Makes my day that you think I'm good at it! I certainly try to be real, and listen as best I can. You mentioned a lot of names that I definitely intend to have on the show at some point. I highly prefer to do these in-person, but of course that's not always possible, so Zoom to the rescue I s'pose. Feel free to keep the suggestions comin'! Also, you probably notice that Grateful Dead comes up a lot on these episodes lol, which I bet you appreciate! Take good care and thank you again for the kind words ~Mason
Oh, loved this conversation! Rosemary has taught me a lot. I had the honor of traveling in France with Rosemary and a small group and have carried wisdom from her with me ever since. Just this year I broke my foot and thought of how she healed her wounds from being hit by a motorcycle with comfrey and I sought out the support of that good plant friend. She was also the reason I visited Brietenbush a decade before the fire. I’ll never forget my very first night, being in the Hot Springs alone naked under the stars… As a plus size woman, Id been hiding my body for so long. It was the start of reuniting my body with my soul. Forever grateful. Thank you for creating this conversation and sharing it!
I made my first purchase from Oshala Farm, it was Mullein and Elecampane. OMG the freshness of these herbs!!! I am so glad my teacher Maria Noel Groves turned me on to this farm!!
I love to hear it, April! We feel incredibly grateful for Oshala Farm for sponsoring The Herbalist Hour! When you support them you're also helping support HerbRally, so THANK YOU! And shoutout to Maria as well. She's been on the show, too :) ~Mason
Would you and Rosemary ever consider another episode together talking about how incredible works, like hers, have rebuilt and brought back to the world information that was systematically "wiped out". That topic could be a bit more political, however, I feel it's so important to be aware that the powers at play are not always in our best interest. Regaining and sharing the healing power of plants is a huge way humans can regain independence in themselves as well as a whole society. Just a thought ❤
Great idea! We actually just stayed with Rosemary for a few days and recorded a little mini-documentary of sorts. Stay tuned for that! We are very excited for it. Next time I interview her for The Herbalist Hour I will try to remember to ask her this question! Glad you're enjoying the show ~Mason
@@HerbRally I'll definitely keep my eye out for it, thanks for keeping in touch! I have been binging the show lately so I'll try not to be too chatty, but you guys have some great information and interactions so I love being able to reach out. Thanks for keeping this going 🌻🌻🌻

I said it before and I say it again, this woman is my hero and idol! The world could take a page from her book when it comes to Karen, compassion, and kindness. #beautifulsoul
SO excited for spring. We have lots of wild mullein and lambs quarter and dandelion growing on the property. I am also growing several others in containers on my deck. I had them downstairs on the patio and the deer ate my comfrey down to the dirt. They are all in my bathroom now due to a ton of snow out there.
Wow, this has been fun. I met you at a herbal fest in Iowa back about 28 years ago. Frontier herbs. You were speaking and the one thing you said was to start small. Learn three herbs every year. Your were a fantastic speaker. If I remember, you were learning in Costa Rica or somewhere like that. In the wild. Amazing lady.
