I hope you like it and I hope you can visit other cities.

I was genuinely impressed by Mexico City as a Mexican from the north of the country, even the “real” parts of the city that the locals (chilangos) kept telling me about were incredibly mild. I come from the border in Tamaulipas, Mexico city’s supposed rough neighborhoods like tepito were a walk in the park compared to my city of origin, they really are blessed the capital city folks.

Ahhh you’re in my city! Welcome! I hope you’re liking it. I would have loved to of given you a tour (free of course) of my city. For example, that was the Cathedral which is next to the National Palace (which used to be a museum but the current president decided to move into a palace…lol) and behind the cathedral you can see the remnants of the old Aztec pyramid (Templó Mayor) and even on the back streets you can visit the old Synagogues in the old Jewish quarter (the new one is Polanco for sure, which I recommend to walk around there to see a more modern and upscale part of CDMX). You were indeed in the old Chinatown which has now become a tourist attraction but the local authorities have let the street vendors take over the area and you can hardly walk! They recently celebrated the Chinese New Years like every year, but there’s a new Chinatown in the Viaducto neighbourhood. If you’re still in CDMX I recommend you walk around La Juarez which contains many attractions like Koreatown, many modern buildings, Zona Rosa including their LGBT zone, and even the old Frenchtown with many Parisian style buildings still around (around the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum to give you an idea). Chapultepec Park which is crowned by Chapultepec Castle, the only castle in the Americas which was inhabited by a Monarchy, in this case the Hapsburg Emperor of Mexico. Nearby is Cuauhtémoc which has Little Tokyo area and the best ramen and sushi in the city! Polanco is nearby as well. Some day/weekend trips would be to visit Puebla city, just south which is a beautiful city with many “Magic Towns” nearby such as Cholula (with the largest pyramid in the world), Atlixco and Chipilo (town founded by northern Italian immigrants where they still speak Veneto and have the best pizzas in Mexico) and north to Querétaro/Guanajuato which has beautiful towns and also wineries from Querétaro-San Miguel Allende-Guanajuato route. And of course the Teotihuacán pyramids which were constructed way before the Aztecs invaded what is now central Mexico. Cheers and love the videos!
PS: try the churros at El Moro, the one in Historic Centre near Chinatown is the original brought by Spanish migrants and it’s now a chain. Best churros.

Get yourself to this group of streets in Polanco - just find Maison Kayser Polanco and that is a lovely walking area with shops and eateries and also don't miss pretty Lincoln Park on one end of it...... Also, must see Chapultepec Castle especially the rooftop garden, the living quarters and the views (you can skip or hurry thought the first part of the building which is the museum part then go to the actual castle part). And yes go to Coyoacan neighborhood - just head in the direction of that Sanborns there and you are in the center with the wolf fountains (and you can add in Frida Kahlo's lovely house museum too but that is a few blocks away from the centro portion of Coyoacan but usually long lines even with advance ticketed timed entry) I love your vlogs - well done!!

Those street churros were expensive for you, that lady give you the most expensive price just because are a foreigner normally are 15 pesos at the worst, 10 pesos for 3 are the normal price. The price on the churreria ones were the usual but the first one, were a no.
The place were you buy the badge it's part of the commercial zone in the centro, lot of chinese people have their business there and the mexican owned ones, some of them, are really old, like Cereria de Jesus on the same street you buy the badge wich is a candle store with more than 130 years of story, the whole zone around it's amazing but kinda dangerous if you don't know the streets and were you are.

as a recomendation for eating the torta try give a bite first to the torta and then a jalapeño bite... if it gets to spiciy for you just close your mouth for about two minutes not letting oxigen get to your mouth as the enzymes of the chile get activated by it, it wont go away totally but it will get milder as you salivate, i learned that from a Mexican Chef. Great having you in my Country, you shoul've come to Monterrey too. Welcome any time.

Hey man don’t give yourself such a hard time about your Spanish. It took me years just to hold a basic conversation and I still struggle. Saludos 🖖🏻 desde Virginia.

Many presidents in Mexico used to live on those buildings on the Zocalo, it’s called “Palacio Nacional” (National Palace) and now it acts as the official seat of the federal executive power of Mexico, housing the offices of the President of Mexico, and various administrative departments of the federal government. It’s also used for official ceremonial events like diplomatic perceptions, or presidential functions in general 🙌🏽

In one corner of zocalo (left to the cathedral) is common to find aztec dancers that will also perform a cleansing on you with herbs and copal/incense. There are also many places to try pulque, a prehispanic alcoholic beverage made from fernented maguey sap, very refreshing. In your last shot (near bellas artes) you were already very close to the museo del pulque (pulque museum) which is not great for the museum part lol but it is for the variety of flavoured pulque they have.

😟Hi ZANE TRAVEL I just want to tell you that when you were at the "Zocalo" Plaza when you asked why there was alot of people and waiting for something, I saw at the news that there was a guy trying to suicide himself by trowing himself from the building, you can see him standing and holding himself from the wall at the corner of the last floor outside, he was wearing blue clothes, thats why you saw everybody staring up to the building and also the cameras pointing tu the upper corner of the building, the good thing was that the police conbinced him to stop trying and the police helped him to get down to the street, and it all happened wile you passed by the building on your way to searh for churros, well thats what happened in that day, in between the minute's 17:19 and 17:43, take care and continue your journey god bless you bye👍

Parks are zocalos and your probably not there anymore but you should really try their type of rotisserie chickens they are the best in the world (huge walls of fire with a machine rotating and moving up and down) and buying churro find the ones being made fresh on a cart!

I recommend to do a walking tour so you do not miss important spots and get a little more context of the places. 3 blocks to the north of the Palace of fine arts are pretty nice museums with incredible architecture, as well as the Garibaldi Sqaure where you can see some mariachis playing all day

It's funny you went to the Philippines. I believe was the last place you went.
The last place I got to travel was the philippines. It was my first trip ever. I want to go back to Philippines & Thailand but I want to go for 2 months but I can't right now. Anyway my point is, I was thinking about going down and visiting Mexico for a month since I live 2 hours away in California. Love your videos for tips

That was a lot of churros! Mexico City looks absolutely beautiful! Spiritual cleansing? Mmmm that’s interesting. If I remember correctly, you hired a tour guide in Bohol, what are your other subscribers suggesting on how to get an actual tour guide? Wandering is fun, but to get facts and historical information would be helpful if you had a guide for at least an hour of the day. Would have loved to see a meal in McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken and compare with the fast food chains that you’ve visited in SE Asia, enjoy your travels!!!
