Hi Zane travel, loved your tour to Mexico’s pyramids. Can you add the link to the Teotihuacan tour. I liked that you left really early in the am and was not an all day trip.
I am French living in Mexico for ten years. I remember visiting friends in New York 9 years ago. Their friends told me i was crazy for living in Mexico. They told me terrible things about Mexico and Mexican. I fight with them and even remember how mad they made me. I am so happy now that everybody is realising how beautiful this country is.
Very good W French 🗿👍🔥
After traveling around the world and being from Iran, I think the Mexico City is the most beautiful city in the world. Why? because of their amazing and friendly people, most beautiful restaurants, their best coffee shops, and nice weather. I met some of the nicest people in Mexico City. Thank you for your great video... Hamid From Laguna Beach CA.
Greetings from Mexico I have traveled to Laguna Beach myself and I really loved it my favorite place was The Cliff restaurant and Bar, the views of the ocean are amazing and I really loved the little shops they have art pieces and souvenirs made from sea shells.
I really enjoy watching your videos testing food and and then your face of plasure
Greeting from Mexico. Always welcome to my beautiful city:)
I love Irán 😊
Buen video gracias .. viva usa . Viva mexico
Mexican food is PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD.Which means it is at the very top because of its diversity, you're only basing your opinion on mexico City.Mexico is immense, every state every City, town providence, every household has their own version. Enjoy your trip.❤❤❤
Mexican food is way overrated!
All Mexico has amazing food, people and landscapes. But Mexico City ...offers a lot, almost everything!!
Oh Zane, you haven't even started tasting the real Mexican food my friend. Every single out of the 32 states in Mexico, has it's own unique flavors and exquisiteness. Thank you for speaking so kindly and well about my country.
Agree!! Mexican food is amazing.

I love watching people trying Mexican food and absolutely falling in love with it 😍😍

100 pesos for a taco is insane (specially considering those fancy things can bearly be named tacos) ... yes it is mexico city and yes it is in a rich and HEAVILY GENTRIFIED area, but I would NEVER pay that for ONE taco ... In most parts of the country you can eat 5 - 10 tacos for that price
The normal price for one taco is 10 pesos in Mexico.

Hi! I'm from Mexico City and I have visited 8 countries. On your list I would need to visit Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh (I hope to visit them soon).
But I agree, in Mexico City there is a wide variety of foods, delicious food and the majority at very good prices 😋
As they say in other comments, the food also varies a lot by each state of Mexico and one of the states with the most delicious food is Oaxaca, I hope you can visit it soon 😉
¡Welcome to our country and have a lot of fun! ❤️🇲🇽
If you have questions you can ask and people will be happy to help you, most people don't speak English but they're very hospitable and they will gladly help you.
Have a good trip 😊
That's what I've heard about Mexico City as opposed to Paris I was there 7 years ago they're not very hospitable or friendly well maybe just two Americans who knows
Loving the Mexico City vlogs!👌

Zane, there is SO MUCH history there.
The Zocalo is where Moctezuma and Hernan Cortez had their confrontations.
Go up to Chapultepec Castle. Beautiful history/story there too.
No matter what content you shoot, I love watching it!
However, I have to say that introducing the food is really exciting!
Through your videos, I learned that Mexico is also a country of delicious food!
That obsidian Oreo cookie necklace is so cute, but it’s a pity you didn’t ask the price!
That arrow obsidian is so cute too, I like it too!
Remember you got sunburned in the last episode, please remember to wear sunscreen when going out!

Coyoacan is beautiful I lived there for 27 years ...❤

Well let me share something you probably didn't know Zane...Mexican food/cuisine, was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. The last time I checked, food from Thailand, or rather its big city Bangkok IS NOT considered the same. Just some FYI for you.🤓
I liked your channel and I'm glad you liked Mexico City, which is rich in Culture in both Art, History and gastronomy. Now, with respect to Teotihuacan, it is very easy to call a Culture Savage, first you must put in context what period we are talking about, it is estimated that the Teotihuacan Culture flourished between 100 and 150 BC, in Europe the Roman Empire dominated, England was a of their recently conquered provinces where they were practically called Barbarians, they still lived in huts and caves. And here there were already large pyramids and knowledge of medicine and astronomy.
Great video. I am a Texan living in Mexico now. As far as your next trip to Mexico. Cancun and Tulum have pretty beaches, but that’s about it. If you want to experience culture visit the capital of Yucatán a city called Merida. It’s a beautiful city of just over a million people. It’s about 3 hours west of Cancun. The city is filled with history and culture and amazing food. Many of the people here still speak Mayan even. I highly recommend it.
Dude, if you want unique Mexican style pizza in Mexico City you cannot leave the city without trying "El Perro Negro" pizza joint. You will be in awe when you see the type of pizza's they make there. Let me just give you some examples: Al Pastor Pizza, Chile Relleno Pizza, Carnitas Pizza, etc. etc. etc.
16:20 If you Pause it here you can see the Eclipse Stone Disk on the Left.
they are really cool my brother has one.
18:39 someone was having fun with the jaguar whistle.
Love seeing your perspective of Mexico City. I just got back home from Puerto Villarta and like you I was completely blown away by the way of life in Mexico. Went there first because I was nervous I didn’t know enough Spanish to really enjoy Mexico City but you have changed my mind.
My favorite Mexican foods, in no particular order:
mole
tortas
gorditas
horchata
pulque
concha pan
mazapán
and of course tacos, lots and lots of tacos!
CDMX is a fantastic city.
Have you tryied pozole? In the north is white (in my opinion not the best) and the tipical red, michoacan is great at it
I recommend the Cabrito, it is an exquisite dish from northern Mexico.
My first time in Mexico City changed my life
for real
Same! I've been to so many places around the world and my first time there I immediately fell in love with it.
I’m from Mexico City and though our food is top notch, I honestly think the absolute best food in our country is from Oaxaca. No other state has better food, period.
The band in the background on your 2x1 beer special is called Fobia. One of Mexico’s best alt rock bands, going back to the late 80’s
Love this! That Volkswagen bug we call “bochito” in Spanish! I remember when I went to Mexico City when I was like 8, such an unbelievable city!

Woow , thank you for showing us that very good part of your trip to my beautiful CDMX. You're awesome.

Talking about Teotihuacan, which civilization is not Savage? this was a city from 400 B.C. ... Persia, Babylon, Egyptians, in old times, later the French's with the Guillotine or torture artifacts ,Germany, etc ,Savages as well, then for example advanced in time the Mayas discovered the 0 ZERO and perfectioned so many things in astronomy, math and architecture, anyways good luck and greetings!
Preach. Was looking for a comment like this and was worried no one else was taken aback by the word "savage." As if Europeans and their antics aren't why the term "medieval torture device" exists. The brazen bull, the pear of anguish, the Spanish Inquisition, the French revolution, witch hunts, the perpetual beheading of wives sounds rather savage and bloodthirsty to me. I don't see any civilization holding a moral high ground in their reasons for slaughter. But there does exist a difference in skin tone here.
Visit the metropolitan cathedral of Mexico City, where the first emperor of Mexico, Agustin de Iturbide I, was crowned, in fact his body rests in that same cathedral. Also visit the Chapultepec Castle, where the second emperor of Mexico lived during the second Mexican Empire. A lot of history in this city.
I hope your Central and South America travels will take you to Buenos Aires. Having watched a bunch of your videos, and having a similar travel style myself, I feel like it is a place you will really love. Lots of different/unique neighborhoods to explore, walkable, great food.
Just for clarification, almost all of Mexico is located in North America, and a small part of the south is part of Central America.

First time visiting Mexico March 1st, can't wait. I also want some obsidian
I was there for 5 days! Surprised me and I like the vibe, trees everywhere which I like. I do think it is a bit expensive for the standard of living (I am sure it is less expensive outside of the center). I also felt safe and had no issues.

I new subscriber 🙋♂️because I love Mexico City too
I’ve been to all of those cities but I gotta say Bangkok’s food and Mexico city does it for me. But the country of China despite their politics left so much to explore and Mexico is the most beautiful country to me so far. But maybe I’m biased because my mom and ancestry is from Mexico. 😊
I would like to know your basis for saying that the civilization of Teotihuacan were violent savages, they had disappeared thousands of years ago when the Aztecs arrived there, and no one knows what their culture was like.
My wife is Mexican and from about an hour or so norht of Mexico City. We fly into MXDF and then drive up. I spent a lot of time in in MXDF in 2017 as well as stopping over time to time. The driving is insane, especially when you drive down on the highway from Hidalgo. Mexico is amazing and the food is incredible and cheap. mexico has its issues but for the most part you just have to be alert and smart.
let me reply to you my no friend. NY driving and their people are nuts, its almost as it has something to do with mayor cities, stress and chaos seems to be correlated. Lets deep into NY subway huge rats, awaiting for you to sleep to go on top of you. What about the police?usa police is just a legal street gang that can actually muder you. When you say Mexico has its issues i guess you convenently ignored that your motherland is allowind palestine kids suffer and die out of famine and bombing. You should be ashame of your flag. Yes thats right usa has its issues but for the most part is just a drug addict, violent country.

Not many people know that when you go in top of pyramid there is very small hole in the middle only you finger fits. I was explained that it was used to cure and also for energy, i put my finger in it for a few min and let me tell you that I felt a strong energy through my body and felt it for days after. To bad people cant climb after covid
The Zocalo plaza and Cathedral are made from stones of the pyramids that were there.
On the south side of the zocalo there is a building that still has a snake head at part of the building, the Spaniards were too lazy to remove it so the built on top it.

That "Hombre Pájaro" beer you had, is from Cervecería Hercules, in Queretaro. Is small citt 3 hours drive away from Cdmx.
Their beer factory used to be abandoned, and those guys adapted EVERYTHING to make the beer there, and to set up an amazing beer garden there. Oh, and a boutique hotel as well.
If you get the chance, I bet you wont regret to visit!

Lunes = Monday! :D Glad you’re loving Mexico City! You should really wear sunscreen, the reason you’re getting sunburn is because of CDMX’s higher elevation! Even if it’s cloudy, you’ll get burnt. Take care of your skin!
Oaxaca city is very nice as well! Definitely recommend visiting 👌
15:37 I suggest you stray away from using the term “savage’”. As this was a highly sophisticated and complex society with their own set of rules and structures.
enjoy your videos !
Idk if you’re American but often times “savage” here in America is slang for saying severe/extreme/unimaginable
Like if you saw something you’ve never seen or are amazed by something you’d say “dude that was savage!”
Could be as simple as a skateboard trick.
Correct, poor word choice, i know he didnt mean harm, but it can be missinterpreted cause mexicans are really sesitive about their heritage cultures

@zanetravel How many tacos and beers did you get at Gin Gin? My father-inlaw studies the receipts every time we eat anywhere religiously in Mexico as a Mexican. For you next trip come up North to Pachuca. You can use it as a pit stop (has cool food and cool culture) but there are 3-5 Pueblo Magicos close by as well as Las Grutas Tolantongo which is close by too. I have been working here remotely for 2 months.

Love your content! For amazing food, you should plan a trip to Oaxaca. Food in Mexico City is great but each region has it's unique twists and flavors. I'd also recommend Yucatan.
I had that same tour guide and did the same tour as you. He is a great tour guide
Enjoy my country, but I to have say, even when CDMX (not Mexico City anymore) is amazing you’re staying and visiting, condesa, Roma, Polanco (where the richest people live)etc but those places are basically for just foreigners now, where people from different parts of Europe and USA are living now because they’re retired, hence, you’re not getting to know the real CDMX, go to Coyoacán, go to Friday Kahlo musseum, centro histórico and take a look at the “palacio de bellas artes” walk to “la casa de los azulejos” is also a “Sanborns “ restaurant order a set of molletes, visit “la basílica de Guadalupe “ not just the richest area of CDMX , regards
You should definitely visit the Castillo de Chapultepec and that park around there, I believe there’s also a free zoo around that area.
