    Horses were brought by the Spainards but Native people took it to another level just as they did Frybread.. Everything is done with a passion, respect and sacredness. We love and respect our Animal brothers and Sisters..

      @@pitgroove.37_66 Replying to a year-old comment? Ok.... And I've done my research, plenty of it. Unless your idea of respect and love is terrorizing living beings for a crowd of drunk hicks, not an ounce of it is shown to rodeo animals.

      @@Supernatural2332 see it's not just doing online research or watching videos and getting your facts from there. Absolutely not!
      It's also about talking to people who are very very familiarized with the sport of rodeo, such as rodeo association representatives, the rodeo athletes themselves, hell even equestrian instructors who know about the sport of rodeo and/or even are in charge of sponsoring their local rodeo!
      Oh yeah BTW you're talking to somebody who has not only met the criteria listed above, but as also been around the sport of rodeo his entire life!

      @@Hidueje Wow. I had no idea that rodeos were only attended by Natives. Good job at completely misinterpreting what I said. What occurs at rodeos is not in any way, shape, or form loving animals. It's abusing animals to make money, and people of all races do it. Anyone involved in that system is profiting off of fear and pain. Go watch a few videos of calves getting their necks broken and horses getting whipped. Does that seem like loving mother earth?

    I’m just getting started riding bulls and broncs. They left out how hard it is financially to start rodeoing. But I’m sure if for most people once they get out in the arena the first time they’re hooked. I’m definitely addicted to the bulls and saddle bronc.

    All the people who think this is "cruel" to these animals, need to look up Spanish Bullfighting.THAT is a cruel and disgusting 'sport'.
    I grew up in rodeo country up in Washington State, and guess what? Some of the bucking horses can be ridden regularly outside of the ring without bucking or hating being saddled up. They are trained to buck in the ring, and trust me, if a 1,000 pound animal truly does NOT want to enter the ring to buck... That animal is NOT going into the shoot. There is a huge different between being skittish for a moment and truly terrified. Even race horses get skittish entering the gates, but I don't see anyone here saying THAT'S a bad sport, or "terrifying" the animal.
    As for the baby bulls and such getting caught and tied, those animals are handled every single day. They are affectionate and know they are loved. What happens in a rodeo doesn't scar the animal for life. It is painless, they don't feel pain the same as humans do. Humans are an exceptionally pain-sensitive breed of animal. Yes, we are animals. Intelligent, articulate and adaptable, but still a type of species. The moment those animals are untied and brought out of the ring, they are fed treats, patted, and given attention. There is nothing inhumane going on in the typical American rodeo. It would be illegal if it harmed the animals, like any type of animal pit fighting is illegal. Animal Cruelty is a felony, America doesn't stand for inhumane torture and harming of animals unnecessarily. People would not allow these type of activities going on if the situations were honestly detrimental to these animals.
    DO. YOUR. RESEARCH. Please, I encourage you. Go talk to local rodeo participants, meet and pet their animals. Look up the laws on the events. Don't judge and trash this type of thing, unless you actually know what you are talking about. Stop being negative. I am a Cherokee/Scottish American. I fight against BSL and stand for Animal Rights. I know how it feels to HATE and LOATH a human who harms an animal or a person who hunts for fun instead of for food. I appreciate peoples love and concern for these animals. But there is NOTHING abusive or traumatizing happening to ANY of the animals used in these sporting events.

    all these people that say this animal abuse, you do realize that these animals are not in pain at all? the only pain Bucking horses feel is the riders spurs which (feels like a pinch), the only thing roping horses feel is just the saddle being tight (feels like a tight belt) and the wieght of the rider (like a heavy backpack) and that's just a few seconds, and Bulls have skin which is 7 times as thick as humans and all they feel is that occasional pinch, and 9/10 of these animals are very willing to do these events especially saddle horse which often run to the horse trailer to go to a rodeo, honestly us Cowboys 99% of the time we get way more hurt that the animals we compete with

      The people that say that stuff DON"T realize it, because they've never had the sack to try a rodeo event. My 4 late bros n I were raised on our grandpa's ranch, we're Shoshone-Paiute, our Reservation is half NV/ID. They had loved ranch life, especially when it came to their horses. During the summers they'd ride out to the desert n herd a group of wild mustangs to the ranch, my bros, cousins n friends wud ride them n pick the horses they wanted n wud train them. They also rode in various rodeos in NV n ID, bareback, saddle bronc n cow, they were also great in various sports, especially boxing, they loved the adrenaline rush! I loved riding horses with my youngest bro n had also wanted a horse of my own, but they were always so protective n didn't want me to get hurt, they were old fashioned. Unfortunately I had lost my bros in 1980 to 88 to suicides n murders, I miss n love them dearly.

Farming cows is wrong because the way they do it causes unnecessary damage to the environment and is unnecessarily painful for the cattle but that's not the point of this video. The point of this video isn't to glorify or demonize the lifestyle, they are just showing you what happens for informational purposes... Show some courtesy and be polite...

      Rome, Russia, and Germany, have been responsible for some of the most cruel and ruthless acts of all time... Take a history lesson. Aside from that, it says "Rodeo" right in the title... If you don't like it, don't click on it.

    • @irinapavlova1768
      @irinapavlova1768 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Romans were in the UK and Ireland long before America was colonised, so in a way, they are your very distant ancestors, at least culturally. Russia has never eliminated a whole race in its colonies (I myself come from a former Russian colony), neither did the Germans (don't get me wrong, I do not support what the Nazis have done, BUT you have to admit that the Germans have never eliminated a whole race of people to occupy its land and make profit from it). The colonists in the US did, however.
      And by the way, I have nothing against rodeos per se. I just hate the fact that so many Native Americans died because of your greed and ruthlessness

    • @RJHMcGonigal
      @RJHMcGonigal 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      My greed and ruthlessness?!?!? It was predominantly French and English that came to America hundreds of years ago and did what they did - it sure wasn't "me'. Never-mind Germany or Rome, Russian leader Joseph Stalin was responsible for between 20 million and 60 million deaths of innocent humans... That doesn't count or what? Also the Native American "race" was NOT eliminated - I personally know many of them. I'm not even American I'm Canadian, but don't run down other countries for past events when most other countries have dark moments in history too..

    You obviously don't know what you're talking about, there are grains and soy products that have all the different types of animo acids you would get from meat without the negative effects. I eat meat but I know a meatless diet is much healthier because I'm not ignorant, some meats are good but a meat eater is rarely healthier than a vegetarian. Many ufc fighters are turning to vegan diets because it helps their performance, these people know a hell of a lot more about nutrition than you or me.

    When gates gets open one of the "operators" that seats behind on the top of the fence stretching the rope that is attached to horses or bulls genitals and this makes animal furiously bucking and jumping about. Belt before hint legs of horse or bull underneath has got a loop that squeezes privates. Enormous pain and frustration manifested with hint legs striking upwards when desperately trying to loose painful loop up. Cruelties? No way. Enjoy.

    Rodeo is all about abusing animals. I don't think it deserves any attention like this. The people in the video are PROUD of abusing animals. It's not right.
