  • I managed to get this ride in on Valley Metro Siemens S700 trains! This was the first day these brand new trains were in service!! So brand new that you can see an employee still trying to figure out stuff with the train. Amazing train though! I love it. Announcements are also now the same as what’s on the Valley Metro buses, with a little bit of Seattle Siemens S700 mixed in!

    Thanks so much for sharing. I ride Valley Metro rail almost daily and have yet to see one of these new trains. I’ll be keeping my eyes open for them.

    I haven't hopped on the new one yet but I like where the bike racks are, I'm glad they're closer to the door and the ground this time around

    A bit of advice: try to be more steady when filming and not use sudden camera movements, fast zooms, and don’t film sideways. It’s actually quite nauseating. Once you get a hang of filming with a steady hand, your videos will improve. Keep on practicing buddy.

    Im more of a fan of the Kinkisharyo Light rails from Valley Metro more of there sleek exterior design but im a Fan of the S70'S interior as the S70 shows you its Destination And what Station ur at

    Just rode that rail today, and it is not nice, a lot of other people were complaining about it to, there were no announcements, and wouldn’t say what stop we were at, and it was really bumpy and noisy, as well as the lights were bright then dimmed and turned off at one point, and it was night so lights were needed, I think they need to leave all the older light rails up and running and return the Siemens ones, the older ones and better we’ll built and haven’t had problems, don’t recommend riding it

      You must have been on my train, they had announcements working but then had to have them turned off because they added bus transfer information. Except……the bus transfer info was totally wrong. It said transfer to route 96 at Alma School, Route 45 at Central etc. Rather than give people the wrong info, they turned the whole annunciation system off.

      @@TransitAndTeslas yea I’m glad you replied, the announcements were messed up, and it said camelback and 7th ave when we were at stapley and main, but the main problem was when the lights flickered I just hope they don’t decommission the kinkisharyo trains cause I won’t be riding the new ones sorry to say

      @@weshamilton1796 The old trains are getting upgraded actually with this new “infotainment” system the Siemens trains have. Other than that, thankfully they aren’t going anywhere.

    • @TransitAndTeslas
      @TransitAndTeslas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@weshamilton1796 The new system is the same system that the buses use. Valley Metro wants it all to be unified. That’s why the Siemens has the same announcements the buses have now.

      New system correctly says the end of line station. It’ll be a year or two before the new system gets installed in all of the older trains.
