They are so beautiful as though they have with theyr'e quiet demeanour a powerful knowledge? Probably having a good Donkey-like chuckle when fed grass and stuff from us? what a life.........
I live around 10 miles away , it is a magical place and I used to deliver food for the Donkeys and what really struck me they do riding for children with disabilities of varying degrees, it's absolutely fantastic to see these kids smiling and laughing, they may not have a lot to look forward to but the Donkeys are so calm, you really should see it .
Those donkeys are proper sweethearts❤! I couldn't agree more with you when you said about humans role as caregivers using our intelligence to help look after animals as they are so precious. As a child I lived on a small holding and thought this is what humans do, they care for animals. This dream was short lived when I realised mum did it for commercial gain which she had to as she single handedly reared 4 children on her own. But I never lost the magic of that idea that the purpose of our lives is to look after other things. Is brilliant that you highlight the center, I imagine this helps greatly spread the word about these wonderful animals and the work the center does for them. What a beautiful place to visit. Such an impressive array of flowers. It was nice to see proper meadow plants and grasses growing for the donkeys to eat. Something that is sadly so missing these days. You can't be a good meadow. Many believe that when our pets pass over they become our animal guides, many animals see spectrums of light that we can't so I wouldn't be at all surprise if the greyhounds you met felt the presence of Miss Nancy particularly the one that chased after you. Their perception is so much greater than our own. If that ever becomes a reality that someone sets up a greyhound sanctuary where they can run about to their hearts content I'm definitely volunteering there! A wonderful idea. Well done for having the courage to make this trip and to stay over on your own in the van. It feels like you've opened a new chapter where you can create further wonderful memories. You mentioned that you got up late, did you find it difficult to sleep in the van? Or was this more general insomnia? As always it was nice to see Tori, you do brighten up our lives with your videos. So thank you. 🙏
It must have been pretty incredible living on a small holding, as you say though when you get a bit older and realise more peoples intention or reasons that must colour things. I think it’s true though, aren’t we at our best caring for others? Meadows are beautiful i so agree, those donkeys have a very lovely setting they are the lucky ones. I wonder if Miss Nancy is there. I don’t really know what I believe to be honest, sometimes I think I feel her nose by my hand, sometimes I feel so alone she just be a million miles away. I think people would like to visit a greyhound sanctuary where they could actually seethe dogs properly running, and wouldn’t that be a nicer way to appreciate the incredible speed and agility than keeping them in cages and forcing them onto tracks. Hmm i slept middling, depends where i am in the van but also as it had been so long that didn’t help. It was lovely and quiet and i always feel super safe on a campsite so that helps in general, but I’m no stranger to insomnia. Thank you ☺️
@@missnancysdayoff It was definitely a delic place to live. I so wish we still had that place. Now with what I've learned on how to grow vegetables I could really seen myself with a polytunnel, some fruit trees.. I often used to think that the world's problems to be sorted out if one person made sure just to look after one other person then eventually everybody would be cared for. Of course the world is a lot different but it made sense to me when I was young. One thing I did which probably sounds a bit creepy when my dog passed away, I trimmed some of her fur and kept it wrapped up securely. One, it made me feel more attached to her even with the passage of time. Two, I read an article where Barbara Streisand got her elderly dog cloned and I thought maybe from the hair I could one day clone my Angie and get her back. There's a really good TH-cam video done by the BBC that shows in slow-mo how a greyhound achieves such high speed. It's fascinating, so elegant.. couldn't agree with you more it's the way to appreciate animals. Do you like to try aromatherapy/herbs for helping with sleep? Things like lavender, valerian, chamomile? Wishing you lots of restful nights..
@Melatiah it sounds like you were a very sweet child. So…creepy… well of course it isn’t. I just replied to you somewhere else about having a box of Nancys fur I keep sealed up and sometimes sniff. I didn’t mention that I scoured the entire house picking bits of fur and skiing off the carpet, her beds, blankets etc. the poor baby was to poorly it was all just coming off her. I can’t even bear to think about it. But I collected every single bit. And a claw and a whisker. It’s my most special thing and I don’t care if anyone else thought that was weird. We just love them 🥰
@@missnancysdayoff Thank you, hopefully I was. It's always heartening to hear how others experience intense emotions in very similar ways. I certainly do not feel as nearly as odd now that you've shared your own experience 🙏. So thank you for that. How you were and are, and what you did and do is deeply moving. 💞
I went to the donkey sanctuary in the early noughties . We went to sidmouth a lot with mum and dad Lovely wide prom. Lovey to see donkey sanctuary again. Glad you found peace.❤
Hi Tori When holidaying with the horse at night we would try to get him in a nearby field with farmers permission or find a good wide stretch of towpath where he would be tethered on a long rope and able to eat the vegetation alongside the tow path. Extra food and water would be left out for him and he was happy in his new surroundings every night .
Great vlog Nancy, thanks for the tour & insight into donkey Eden ! Unbelievable how some of these are "treated" in certain parts of the 🌍 May the chilled out energy of exploring about in the van, ☀️ "recharge" your spirit 🐴
Thanks for watching I’m glad you liked it! Yeah it’s super sad, even more so that they have so many mistreated neglected animals from this country also, they do a lot of work educating people how to look after the donkeys better in parts of the world they are used for work which is also so valuable ❤️ Fingers crossed it will I am ready to power up 🫏
Aaaand once again I come to your pointy project Tori! I'm happy to stay in touch in whatever way you deem fit. I believe I can help you get it started. I can explain more without needing to type essays like this every time. YT will probably get a bit peed off!!!! Usual rules. Be well, happy and, of course, safe. Still love ya!!! 😁
the pointy project is a theme 😅 and a beautiful dream, hopefully more than that one day. sounds good thanks, haha you wouldn’t want TH-cam cutting back on your word allowance! 😊
That looked like a great day out, and you didn't make an ass of yourself! 😋 I hope you found some solace there that day. Yes, I'm late to the party - slowly working my way through your backlog of videos. Miss Nancy was a great dog, and you gave her a great life.
😂 thank you! I did I think I need to go back, maybe even move in. She really was, thank you 🙏 I hope you’ll like the older videos with the star of the show 🐾
Hello Tori😁👋 That was awesome👌 Brilliant start. You got so many beautiful clips in 13 seconds👏👏 Loved that. You had a smile on your face pretty much all the way through 💪💪💪 The donkeys were beautiful. You were so kind and loving with them. Glad you had a shower and toilet on the site. You are very posh😉 You are free and that's amazing. Nice to see you chilling with good food some tv and red wine🍷 Beautiful to watch. Sorry I'm slow on this video, I was camping on Cadair Idris lake, it was beautiful. A few things didn’t go to plan but I had a great time. I went to Aber falls yesterday. Truly magical. Blew me away! 4½ hour drive home then. I got your video today. Thank you happy smiling girl. It was beautiful 👏👏❤️ Keep smiling😃 👋
Hey! Thanks I am glad you liked the start I tried to make it a bit different, not sure what the best intro is yet! Ha yes I was being posh and I think I like it 😅 I had to look the up because it sounded incredible, and it looks incredible to I am so jealous! I need to go, how long to walk up there did you swim in the lake? 🤗
@@missnancysdayoff I thought the intro was really good👌 I've been up Snowdon many times, never Cadair Idris. Oh what a place. From the car park and back it was 4hrs. The first 30-40 minutes is tough, steps and more steps. Very tough. Just take your time, waterfalls running by the side as you walk and a river. The lake is beautiful. Parking is £6 for all day, it's says until 12 and no camping. I was gutted. I left my tent and everything in the car. At the trig I was chatting with a couple and mentioned I hoping to have camped there. He said it's fine, he'd chatted with a guy in the pub and he explained you'll have no problems. I walked back to car and carried everything back to the lake. About 45 minutes walk to the lake. The water was so clear. I wanted to swim but by the time I'd set my tent up and everything it was getting late. My tent was about 8ft from the lake I could nearly touch it. I cooked right next to it. I sat in there looking out the door hours. Never felt like that before. It was quite an experience. I filmed it and watched the clouds and sun in between the mountains in front of me moving. It was something else. I think I filmed that part okay. I did a 7 minute video of it, I'll speed it up, think it will look okay. I'll put it Saturday or Sunday. I'm sure you'd love it there. There was about another 4 tents spread out on the lake. You'd feel very safe. Beautiful adventure for you and your sister😉 If I was doing it now, I'd put my tent up at the lake, relax there, cook and swim and the next morning walk the other part up to the trig. There's a cool shelter up the top with lots of benches. It was great. On Sunday I went Aber Falls. What a special place that is. You can reach the waterfall in 1 hour, £5 to park. There full circular walk shows so much more. Many reach Aber Falls and go back, 10 more minutes and you reach a 2nd waterfall. I walked up the mountain to the top looking for a plunge pool, it wasn't deep enough for me. Fine for you and other girls. You can get in there all nice and slow😁 Not the same for a bloke I want to jump in🤣 it just doesn't look the same when a man gets in slow. The walk after both waterfalls is easy but so beautiful. Mountains all around and the two huge waterfalls, then all of a sudden you are up high and looking out to the sea. I wasn't expecting that. It was stunning. You see an island out there not far away Anglesey, heard people saying It’s like a little paradise, puffins and so beautiful. Lots of van life people go, I've never been. Come to Wales one day 😁 You'll love it. I know it's so far away for you though. Really far. You could break it up doing Brecon Beacons area for a week and then on too North Wales. I've put up a little short of Aber Falls this morning. Only a 24 seconds, I'll do another short in a few days then the camping on Cadair Idris video. You are a lovely person, kind to animals and people. Keep sharing and caring👋
It’s brilliant that these sanctuaries exist to provide a home for these gorgeous creatures. They are such social characters; cant help but to simply love ‘em all. I would love to share Dr Doolittles abilities - imagine the conversations. Donkeys and hippos - my favourite creatures after my rescue Finnish Long Legged Dachshund.
That would be the best super power! Hippos I’ve never thought about them much, they look sweet but they can be super aggressive can’t they? I think a donkeys probably best for pets 😅
@@missnancysdayoff yeah, they are very dangerous but super, super cute. I’ve got friends that have two living at the bottom of their garden (in Zim!). Donks have been a long term favourite of mine - very loyal. My rescue boy is the same. I’ll be popping down to ‘your’ donk sanctuary soon as I love just watching them interact.
I went there 20 years ago! Donkeys bring out such a sense of calmness in me, they feel timeless and kinda ancient!! When you cried i cried, but i smiled too, so thats progress! Camping in the van looked great well done for facing it, and yes a greyhound sanctuary with outside space would be a dream.
I wonder how much bigger it is now it was much more extensive than I had imagined! Yes, they absolutely bring that sense of tranquility they are special souls ❤️ yeah still crying a lot but hopefully making progress, at lest there is smiles too! One day those greyhounds will be running free in my dog safe wilderness dream 🐕🫏 with some donkeys too maybe
Hi Tori, what a wonderful day at the sanctuary 🙏👌😁. My Mum and Dad adopted a couple of donkeys... father and son... from that very place about 38 years ago. They were a joy everyday that we had them. I so hope that these sanctuaries get enough support to keep them going.. they do such a great job. I think you seeing those gorgeous greyhounds was a sign don't you.. and your idea to have a sanctuary for them sounds amazing... I'm sure if you want something enough.. it will happen 🍀🐾🥰💖🤗😘
So lovely 🥰 oh that’s so sweet, I need to sort out adopting one! Yes it’s actually worrying my mum told me that the other ones (because it said they had many 5 others in the UK?) were having to shut down because they don’t have enough money. It’s awful. The rich keep getting richer and people trying to do good and save animals or anything else don’t have enough money to do it. I think it was a sign I was so happy to see them, and they all have such different personalities but also that similar greyhound je ne sais quoi that I adore ❤️🐾😍
Just watching this video Tori i felt at peace thank you. I suffer from Anxiety and depression, so getting out and about is difficult for me. When i do its usually by myself as i have zero confidence.....given the choice however, i'd much prefer company. Visiting places like this i find are perfect for the mind and soul. We're lucky to have them, along with beautiful coastlines in which to take long walks. You can relax, let an over active mind switch off and even say hi to people without triggering some sort of mental thunderstorm. i love it!.......its just a shame i really need someone to ask me along, before i venture out. Its wonderful to see how your making progress Tori, taking small steps toward healing. Thankfully Summer is fast approaching, so opportunities to get out and about will be aplenty.......there's nothing like long sunny days to make a person feel good. You take care and stay positive......that's an order! lol :) xx
I am so glad it did ☺️ It’s not easy getting out sometimes, especially when you feel like that. Sometimes i struggle too especially when I have got out of the habit that first step seems like such a big one, but once taken it gets easier every time. You’re absolutely right we are so lucky so live in such a beautiful country. Thank you I will do my best to comply! 😅 you too xx
I haven't been there in donkeys years 😂(pardon the pun) no it's a lovely place,we ended up walking to the beach there when a container ship had run aground. When we got the beach there was warning signs about syringes and needles left on the beach from one of broken containers, all along was bins to put them in.Not very pleasant however seeing the wreck was very impressive.❤
So true. I can only speak from personal experience of memories, and places triggering physical memories - it's sad, but part of the healing process. I'm not blessed with perception beyond the standard three dimensions - my other half has awareness of this, and she often mentions contact with one of our departed pets in the house.....
Hi Tori . Yes still got Marin the horse drawn boat but now we tow it with our motor boat. When the horse died if old age at 22 we could not face getting a new horse and training it up from scratch so we retired the passenger trip boat and deconverted it. The horse is buried on our land at the boat yard we operate from and a memorial garden was planted over the grave.
That was enjoyable.I like it when the donkey turn hes head closer to you so affectionate.you can see why good hearted people form a bonds with animals. nice campsite.aswell always a nice feeling being fresh out the shower.clean and comfy. and even nicer if you have nice bottle of red to enjoy.you was even spoiled with that beautiful angel white moon to veiw.if i did not have things todo this weekend i d be out on my own camper van.you have inspired Nice to see you getting back to the swing of things😊👍
He was such a sweet donkey. They all were ☺️ yeah it really was a peaceful evening in the van I can’t complain apart from wishing my girl was there with me, hope you have a good weekend whatever you are doing! 🫏
Small bow top gipsy caravan may be best idea for touring the narrow lanes of Devon and Cornwall. Back in the 1970 a couple I knew travelled around the West Country in a travellers horse drawn van. Later they moved onto a narrow boat on the canals towed by their horse. Eventually they sold the boat and moved into a house but kept the horse. At that time myself and friends had just rebuilt a horse drawn canal boat and intended to operate it as a passenger trip boat.We bought the horse and operated for the next 15 years.
My wife has adopted Cocoa at the sanctuary and it is great to visit and now we have a grandson it is even better and a fabulous day out and lovely food in their restaurant 😀
Donkeys are very calming & know who they can trust & always put a smile on your face, the greyhound sanctuary idea where they've got their own door with access to their part of a field is a good one 😊
I just love the way they come over if they feel like it and if you’re chill, and just let you give the gentle rubs it’s precious. One day i hope for the sanctuary maybe I should start making some sketches to bring it into fruition ☺️
Anxiety, no the feeling. Sometimes even doing the things you like doing become hard. Only just found your videos on YT, and they make me happy. I'm Hampshire based too, and I'm trying to piece together who's who here, first thought your name was Nancy, got that wrong! 😅.
yeah it does really suck and it kind of kind hit you at any moment. I’m so glad you like the videos! ah yes sadly you will have to go back further to find the videos of my beautiful Miss Nancy 💔 she was the star of the show
@missnancysdayoff I've watched so many of your videos. I was amazed in one of you vids to here of your love for a tea shop in Winchester, which is no further than 4 miles from my home, what coincidence... Maybe another dog is the way forward, but only when you're ready. ❤️
@@missnancysdayoff I live in Twyford, so many great places to walk, rivers to swim, I'm sure you'll know it well. Can't wait to see if you get another pooch... Been thinking of getting a dog myself, but big decision. ❤️
Sorry it’s been awhile I am now catching up that I am home on the great adventures you’re having I do love donkeys they’re so cute I’m just for the record I also eat from my cooking pan anything to save on washing up
@IRELANDANDBEYOND33 it must be nice to be back home, travel is fun but I think it can be tiring so many decisions! Ha yes and just so much worse in the van 😅
I know what you mean. Losing my dog was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. It was about 20yrs ago when I had to call the vet for the final time. Even now I still carry his lead in my van. I can't face taking it out. I also can't face having another dog because having to hold him when he was being put to sleep nearly killed me. I don't think I could ever go through that again. Max was a loyal collie. He went everywhere with me. He had ways of communicating with me and had his little methods of letting me know what he wanted. I love watching your videos. I was always so jealous of the attention Miss Nancy got off you. 😅 . Do you think you will ever get another dog? I also love donkeys. I can't resist stopping when I see them and I even go so far as to call them as only a donkey could😅.
i feel so much of that, I can’t even think about it still. I have her things everywhere. Can’t think about those last moments. jealous of Miss Nancy?! 😅 well she was the apple of my eye no doubt about that. I will get another dog though, not because I can face the pain again because believe me if I let myself think about the bad bits I never would want to do it again, but for the good bits, and so I can save another dog. If I can rescue a dog from a cage or being put to sleep, and for that I one day have to suffer loosing them then so be it. i just hope we get far far longer together than me and my dear Miss Nancy had 💔 Something inside me is definitely broken though by everything tnat happened. wow if I ever see someone calling donkeys in their own language I’ll know who it is!
Impressed with the chopstick technique Tori! Well done you for being constructive and positive. I had the privilege of working in a donkey sanctuary on Santorini, where the poor things are worked till they drop. Such gentle, peaceful animals who deserve so much better. New friends don't replace or displace old friends, they add to them. Go you! Xx
Haha thank you I’ve worked on that over the years! That must have been amazing, at the same time as being absolutely awful. Very difficult to witness the cruelty. Donkeys certainly do deserve better I really think they are so special ☺️ xx
@@missnancysdayoff some people look the other way because it's painful. You go towards the problem and become part of the solution Tori. You listened to the sea, I reckon! Xx
Aww it’s soo good to see you back in the van, can’t wait for more van videos. Your looking great Tori n it’s nice see with some fury friends again keep smashing it ❤❤
Brilliant video keep them coming also loft the shower scene lol and also the cute donkeys. I’m so happy you’re starting to get better. Really love your videos. I would love to go and see the donkey sanctuary but I am 450 mile away and I don’t drive and it will cost me £900 on the train, which is ridiculous for a train fair love your campervan looks well cosy and cool so did you adopt a donkey? X
@@missnancysdayoff I’m from a town called Corrour in Scotland. Might have been a bit exaggeration £900 it’s £533 moving to Manchester next week with my daughter. so may be able to do it next year, maybe. X
I think I smiled all the way through this. You looked very happy throughout and I can't believe there were greyhounds there on the day you visited. That's got to be some kind of fate. I've never been myself but my parents and I do occasionally adopt some of the donkeys there! Coincidentally it also brought back childhood memories of a beautiful donkey I used to visit in a random field in Cornwall on the walk between a place called The Meadery and our usual B&B.
I am glad! Yes it was serendipitous and made my day. They even have webcams so you can watch your donkey! That’s so nice, it’s the kind of thing we always remember I think.
What a lovely day out! The donkeys were beautiful..that one ee ouring was hilarious..well done for catching on camera :) Thanks for taking us with you Love the idea about your grey hound sanctuary... you never know maybe it could happen one-day So glad to see your getting out Tori Your definitely not wierd...I so your more wonderful that wierd 😍
I was so happy to catch the eeorring it’s so funny 🤣 who knows one day and it’s a heart warming idea. Not weird, just enjoying some deep relaxing breaths of donkey stable 😍
Thoroughly enjoyed every moment of your video. We love greyhounds and have taken ours to the donkey sanctuary several times cos we love them too and have adopted one for us and another for our grandchildren. If only I could win the lottery I'd set up a sanctuary for greyhounds and get you to run it !! 😅😅😅 I wish there were more people in the world like you. Bless you. ❤❤❤
I am so glad! That is so lovely, it’s really nice to be able to take the dogs too. Should you win the lottery and want to set up the greyhound sanctuary just let me know! 😅🤗❤️

Aww bless you, very brave getting back into the van alone.. I'm sure it wasn't easy to do at all. Also your storytelling skills have really gone up a notch! Stay safe on the road and on your travels where ever that may take you. ❤
Thanks, it wasn’t when I was editing this I thought how awkward I was in the evening filming, I’m glad I did it though and it was a good place. I really appreciate that thank you! I will certainly try, plans are afoot just trying to sort my stuff out a bit ❤️
@missnancysdayoff Don't worry, you always come across as natural and genuine on film.. it didn't appear awkward to me. Just you being you. Which is why folks like your videos so much I think.. Anyway, take care drive safely.. x
Hi Tori. No we didn’t sell the boat, we just deconverted it back to its original carrying conditions and in 2000 to mark the millennium the wife of one of my friends who is a working horse enthusiast horseboated Maria from Manchester to London with several friends helping as crew. She a d the horse walked all the way over a period of several weeks..
At this very moment completely surrounded by horses. Mares and foals to be exact. Perks of working on a stud farm. Van parked under trees right next to paddocks. And have to two Collies staying with me for a weeks holiday. Definitely happiest when far from people……well most people. Donkeys are great my grandma had some on their farm when I was younger.
Oh that's just perfect, Tori ! 💯😊 (sorry, only just seen this) Donkeys eh?! I know it's THE name in donkey rescue but what a well developed sanctuary 🙌
It's great to see you out and about Tori. The shower room and toilet was a lovely addition to the camp site. Such luxury! What a beautiful place The Donkey Sanctuary is and it looked like a tonic for you too. That was a lovely video.
You look peaceful and content. It's a great place to start donkeys look amazing and any one told you that your amazing, beautiful, cuddely person. its not the tea bag that's a keeper its you so tell your hubby to keep a hold you😅lucky I am not a greyhound I would be happy for the rest of me life😂great video glad your ok tori❤Nancy

Also I need those donkey socks in my life! Great to see your lovely smile xx 🙏❤️
Thank you! They greyhounds were the icing on such a lovely time with those donkeys, you should definitely go it was brilliant. And load up on amazing socks! @@missnancysdayoff those greyhounds were definitely there for you ❤️ and I’ll be paying the donkeys a visit very soon for sure so I can give them a cuddle and start my sock collection! Good to see you getting your “Mojo”back. Life goes on whatever the ups and downs. Looking forward to seeing more of you in the future. What is happening with the Yeti conversion? Donkeys are great but don’t adopt one to replace Miss Nancy there wouldn’t be enough room in your van for both of you. You would have to upgrade to a horse box.
Thank you 🙏 Ah the Yeti well I am working on it as we speak so watch this space! Haha yeah if I adopt a donkey I am going to have to rethink my vehicle choice. Side car?
Lovely to see you're back in your van. I've been a vanlifer in Cornwall for 4 years now. There's nothing like it. Have you been to the Tamar valley donkey park at St Anns chapel near Callington? Love the video and great to see that smile back on your face.😁🙏🙏🙏

@griptopia urgh well i know how you feel with the brain hurting anyway! All sounds confusing. Also hopefully good?! I don’t have a clue what to do next either but probably for different reasons 😅 happy to talk about it, i could use some buddies in the creative area.
Beautiful donkeys, there's a sanctuary down in Penryn too, the Flicka Foundation. All vegan food there. I'm so with you on how we treat animals, we should be their caretakers, not abusing them. If only all humans felt the same 💖
I didn’t know, I will go whenever I head back to the West Country, and vegan food too doesn’t get better than that! I can only hope there is a paradigm shift in the way humans as a species think about animals ❤️
Che dolci gli asini e che fortunati a stare in quel posto bellissimo. Purtroppo non capisco molto bene quello che dici, ma quando ho visto la grey nera, uguale a Brenda, ho capito che non era li per caso❤
It was really special and lovely place ☺️ I’m sorry I probably mumble, you are right though those greyhounds did come when I need to see them and they were so sweet, I was just saying that I talked to their owners and stroked them and kissed their soft heads and it made me happy ❤️
@@missnancysdayoff purtroppo il mio inglese scolastico risale a 50 anni fa e la scarsa pratica col parlato mi rende difficile comprenderlo. Comunque accade che facciamo gli incontri giusti, quando ne abbiamo bisogno😘
Lovely video again. Getting out and being among lovely life forms is real medicine. The donkey therapy is identical to the equine therapy I just heard of from a friend in Central Ontario. They put people out in the paddock and the horses come in and choose a partner!! Apparently this works. My friend was a farm girl who had her own horse at age 8 and used to ride all over the countryside. This really feels great for her. I hear they are working on horse yoga but there appear to be a few technical issues to overcome. One question. This is the first time I've ever watched in detail a donkey braying (great camera work). Is it actually the case that their two note "call" is exhaling (normal) on the first note and inhaling on the second note?? That would be remarkable. The only other animal I encountered who did anything close to this was my brother who inhaled to whistle until he was about 5. Then he turned more normal.
Thank you 🙏 funny I was recently reading a book that said there was research that showed that out of a group of troubled teens those that had access to horses to care for essentially were able to do better. I am not surprised. Horse yoga 😅 Well I hadn’t actually thought about it with the donkey but I think it must be, his back was going right up and down with the two notes, he’d be good on a didgeridoo. Turned more normal 🤭 I suppose if inhaling to whistle was the worst of his flaws he wasn’t doing too bad!
I'm playing Devil's Advocate here as per, what is the practical use for donkeys except to be employed for a few carrots and some straw to lay on to give small children rides along the beach? And I've never seen a donkey that looked like a very hairy yeti before. As I' m now house bound in my care home I love to see flowers, trees and greenery beneath a blue sky. Thanks for showing me some.
@@missnancysdayoff I'd say it was about time that hairy yeti was sheared and yes, if it wasn;t for my writing abilities I'd be among the category of 'The need to be seen doing something in between being born and dyng.' Cryingly yours.
@@missnancysdayoff Couldn't they find you a job there trimming the donkeys hair and where you could live in your van with lots of time to spare to stare into the clean air and doing your jewellery work inbetween going off on trips? Hot lips. (It rhymes with 'trips.')
A beautiful place! Donkeys are just so serene. I agree with your statement - animals should be here with us, not for us. Glad you had such a lovely time there, and got to meet so many new friends, especially the houndies!
I bloody love Donkeys! They're so awkward and loveable. There's a poem by Yeats I should link. You look good, Tori, I know you said you had a bad week, but there's something there which is very positive. You are so on the right track. I don't have much faith in humans ( the climate horror, the Palestinian genocide, the relentless media lies and manipulation, the Labour purge of the left, Noam Chomsky no doubt soon to be leaving us ) - yet here you are - a gorgeous person doing simple actions of kindness.
They are one of my favourite animals 😍 I’d better google for this poem! Thank you that’s very kind, it’s pretty hard to have faith in humans given everything that’s happening in the world, but I will say the kindness of you guys on this channel has actually restored my faith in humans! ☺️
Hi. If you ever get the urge to bring your Abominable Snowman up to the cold iced North(Manchester) call in on me and I will introduce you to the canal way of life.
Tori, you are a naturally beautiful lady. I only wish society was not so psychologically restricted. I love & admire naturally beautiful women, I love your eyes & face and wish you could show the rest of your lovely body...some day hopefully...
Something for you in the future hon! Hope it adds a touch of hope.\ www.greyhoundtrust.org.uk/home-a-greyhound?gad_source=1 Only perused it briefly so..... Love ya! Wolfie.
I didn’t know that, so lovely. theres no doubt spending time with animals is a great medicine for all humans.
It’s such an interesting life. Horses are wonderful animals.
Great vlog Nancy, thanks for the tour & insight into donkey Eden ! Unbelievable how some of these are "treated" in certain parts of the 🌍

That was awesome👌
Brilliant start. You got so many beautiful clips in 13 seconds👏👏
Loved that.
You had a smile on your face pretty much all the way through

The donkeys were beautiful.
You were so kind and loving with them. Glad you had a shower and toilet on the site.
You are very posh😉
You are free and that's amazing.
Nice to see you chilling with good food some tv and red wine🍷
Beautiful to watch.
It was beautiful 👏👏❤️
Keep smiling😃 👋
Hey! Thanks I am glad you liked the start I tried to make it a bit different, not sure what the best intro is yet! Ha yes I was being posh and I think I like it 😅
I had to look the up because it sounded incredible, and it looks incredible to I am so jealous! I need to go, how long to walk up there did you swim in the lake? 🤗
@@missnancysdayoff
I thought the intro was really good👌
I've been up Snowdon many times, never Cadair Idris.
You can get in there all nice and slow😁
Not the same for a bloke I want to jump in🤣 it just doesn't look the same when a man gets in slow.
Come to Wales one day 😁
You'll love it.
No way! A whole little bathroom! All campsites should have this.
Exactly I thought it could turn you onto camping!
Glad you’re doing well Tori , luv the video . 👍😘❤️
Thank you ☺️ the donkeys had a great effect on me ❤️
I went there 20 years ago!
Great place doing great work.
You take care and stay positive......that's an order! lol :) xx
I am so glad it did ☺️
It’s not easy getting out sometimes, especially when you feel like that.

😂 must have been a strange sight!
Thank you for sharing Tori, it’s tough but Miss N will always be with you, they never leave us ☺️ Sending love, light & peace x
So true. I can only speak from personal experience of memories, and places triggering physical memories - it's sad, but part of the healing process. I'm not blessed with perception beyond the standard three dimensions - my other half has awareness of this, and she often mentions contact with one of our departed pets in the house.....
Thank you ☺️ ❤️ xx

That’s a fab tribute😊, lovely story
Wow! That is incredible, I’ve never been on a canal boat but I’m so interested in them. Did you end up selling it?

Donkeys are very calming & know who they can trust & always put a smile on your face, the greyhound sanctuary idea where they've got their own door with access to their part of a field is a good one 😊
I just love the way they come over if they feel like it and if you’re chill, and just let you give the gentle rubs it’s precious. One day i hope for the sanctuary maybe I should start making some sketches to bring it into fruition ☺️

@@missnancysdayoff I’m from a town called Corrour in Scotland. Might have been a bit exaggeration £900 it’s £533 moving to Manchester next week with my daughter. so may be able to do it next year, maybe. X
@stevenmahon8536 that’s insane, fly that is way cheaper!
😅You deserve many more subscribers! Good luck for all your future ventures.
Thanks! 😃
Good on ya girl, still waiting for you to get a greyhound 😂😂,but still enjoying every video you make.x❤❤❤

Why thank you 🤭 haha I actually got that after reading it twice what a legend! Poor old donkeys 🫏
Bless you. ❤❤❤

Hi Tori. No we didn’t sell the boat, we just deconverted it back to its original carrying conditions and in 2000 to mark the millennium the wife of one of my friends who is a working horse enthusiast horseboated Maria from Manchester to London with several friends helping as crew. She a d the horse walked all the way over a period of several weeks..
it’s amazing, do you still have it now then?
At this very moment completely surrounded by horses. Mares and foals to be exact. Perks of working on a stud farm. Van parked under trees right next to paddocks. And have to two Collies staying with me for a weeks holiday. Definitely happiest when far from people……well most people. Donkeys are great my grandma had some on their farm when I was younger.
That sounds pretty peaceful! Well I mean I’m not sure about the stud farm aspect 😅 Your so lucky you got to grow up with some donkeys that’s awesome.
@@missnancysdayoffoddly enough I dislike horse racing.

Hey Tori, what an uplifting video and what a great day, amazing to see the donkeys and the greyhounds, I have to visit them 🫏 they are both gentle special animals ❤️ love an assed latte by the way and was that a loo roll I spotted in the van and the less said about discovering someone else’s underpants in the shower the better!
Also I need those donkey socks in my life!
Great to see your lovely smile xx 🙏❤️
Thank you! They greyhounds were the icing on such a lovely time with those donkeys, you should definitely go it was brilliant. And load up on amazing socks! God that campsite I stayed maybe 5 days and those pants were in the shower the whole time, I finally felt so ill about it I had to leave 😅 xx ☺️
@@missnancysdayoff those greyhounds were definitely there for you ❤️ and I’ll be paying the donkeys a visit very soon for sure so I can give them a cuddle and start my sock collection!
I wonder if those pants are still there? Perhaps they were guard pants employed to make sure people didn’t stay in the shower for too long 😂 xx 🤗❤️
@Its_Adam_by_the_way urgh I think the farmer wasn’t quite as into cleanliness as he might have been, no toilet paper or soap either!!! Ever! 😂 x

Side car?
Gee wizz , eating with chop sticks out the pot , love that - where the heck did you learn that 😂 ?

Lovely to see you're back in your van. I've been a vanlifer in Cornwall for 4 years now. There's nothing like it. Have you been to the Tamar valley donkey park at St Anns chapel near Callington? Love the video and great to see that smile back on your face.😁🙏🙏🙏

Lovely video. You glow when you connect with animals (or find a shower room). And you managed a donkey video without making an 'ass' of yourself 😂
Being with animals does calm the soul, as does finding a proper shower room 😅 ha well I am glad you think so!

Hahaaaaa I remember that about the donkeys! Think we thought it would be other kids to play with. Same though donkeys over people every time now.
Donkeys by a million miles ❤️
Wow I think I may have been to that same donkey sanctuary as a kid, we were in Sidmouth as my mums family was from there. I remember getting a cardboard collection box to send money to the donkeys, but don't know if I actually raised much if any, it's been 30 years and my memory isn't what it used to be

I think it's happening but not fast enough, and now there seems to be this new trend with "carnist" diets, ugh I can't bear it 😢!
@obiblooze5902 urgh I know it’s so ridiculous honestly I want to give the people a good hiding 😂 no, no, no!
I’m convinced you English is better than my Italian! I would love to learn Italian though 😍
❤
I'm playing Devil's Advocate here as per, what is the practical use for donkeys except to be employed for a few carrots and some straw to lay on to give small children rides along the beach? And I've never seen a donkey that looked like a very hairy yeti before. As I' m now house bound in my care home I love to see flowers, trees and greenery beneath a blue sky. Thanks for showing me some.
Ha, I’d say what is the practical use for most human beings! The hairy ones were amazing right, I am glad you liked a bit of summery scenery 😀
