Local Forecast Tornado Warning and EAS Bulletin

- A miniature supercell to my southwest gets a Tornado Warning issued on it, right after passing over Kalamazoo. This thunderstorm did not produce any tornadoes, but it did produce a fantastic cloud show for many in the area, along with some cloud to cloud lightning too.
You can find pictures of this at:

Not long after the Tornado Warning is issued, the EAS bulletin makes an appearance. This time however, it appears a second time, with a much more automated voice. Barry County is where Hastings is, and Eaton County is the county between Hastings and Lansing.
Also notice the buzzing appears to have returned, occurring during several segments in the local forecast. The song is "Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic" by Isaac Hayes. - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
Finally, an uploader who catches the tornado warning crawl as it starts - AND catches not just the EAS interrupting the Weather Chanel, but also EAS interrupts in that red/gray with white text, which I haven't seen in some time. Cool mix of stuff.
you can find the template of text and red grey on Xfinity or Spectrum

“Will you be ready?”
Person: “Rea-“ *BEEEEEEEEP*
“Well, uh, I guess they weren’t ready.”
When I lost Time Warner Cable, I missed that siren at 0:12. Now, I still miss that siren. It's pretty cool.
that is nothing to do with your cable company... that is TWC (The Weather Channel), EAS is the only interruption for weather... and its the same for all services in your area
@@xCmOn3yx777 on time Warner cable in 2014 it still had that siren on the SD channel
Fun Fact my local news station KETV does the same alert tone like the weather channel for a weather alert on tv!
Jeez when I was younger that eas scared the shit outta me
Chicken Lips i agree
🐔 👄
Me too
As most of you already know probably, there was another tornado just a few days ago in Texas AND Arkansas. This was about 3 days ago, witch was march, and this video was posted in April, so just a month later 11 years ago the same thing happened in the same locations!
Will you be ready? * -INSERT AN EAS ALERT- *
Me: WELL THEN... I GUESS THATS COOL AND ALL
2:15 EAS bulletin 1
When the chimes of doom from the EAS interrupt the weather channel, you know your 's' outta luck
0:56 I live there I was not expecting that lmao
crazy how the EAS in kalamazoo still uses this voice
This was during that big tornado outbreak that produced those EF5 tornadoes in Alabama on April 27. Also, on April 28, the last day of the outbreak, an EF0 tornado touched down very briefly (like less than a minute) about 15 miles west of my house in Maryland, but in a different county. I was in school and they put us on lockdown because there was a tornado warning and they thought the tornado was going to hit the school, but the tornado barely moved at all before dissipating.
I only live about 45 minutes to one hour from Tuscaloosa and it came right through there and then moved about 15 miles to my north, barely missing downtown Birmingham. It was scary!
I had some thunderstorms on April 28, 2011. One line of storms gave me a 53 mph wind gust. I had a Tornado Warning as well.
Yeah I know, it has really been irritating me lately. Still though, the two separate bulletins were because of two separate warnings.

In this case, I believe it was the same warning. Why it appeared twice, I don't know. Normally though, 2 separate appearances would indicate two separate warnings.
this... this was a day before the 2011 super outbreak...
4:27 if you listen closely you can hear another eas
They're both automated voices... The difference between the two is that the first one is the NWS default voice of Tom, and the second voice is probably your television provider's default voice, whose name escapes me right now.
I just realised, you can hear Tom in the background as Craig was speaking!
Can I remember having charter and hearing this all the time
Will you be ready?... *EAS*
no I was not ready
@@WesternMassEAS Mr eas shut the fuck up you are stupid

Its called a warning decision update. They update the storms location, speed and direction. Its the same warning.

In case anybody is wondering, EAS stands for Emergency Alert System.
😮 You just might be the first to discover this!

no shit sherlock
Crazy to think that the "record for tornadoes for April was broken" given that this recorded one day before April 27th 2011....
Nice catch! 0:41
@socool775 Isn't Isaac Hayes the chef from South Park?
Will you be ready (for an EAS?)
@LastMartinFanLeft The first one should have been broadcasted on radio and TV. The cable co. made a new modification.
**reads desc**
Maybe an EF0 hit.
EAS bulletin came up the 2nd time at 4:02
I just noticed that this was before the super outbreak of 2011
TH-cam
when i hear the eas on youtube im like who what where!
Is the 1050 Hz tone required on TV? Or just NOAA Westher Radio?
It just plays because its part of the audio message
The EAS doesn't appear much in TWC.

Man.... This was 16 days after my birthday.. (Correct me if I'm wrong, My birthday is April 10th.)

I hate those things because since 2017 every night in the middle of the night they tested it and it wakes me up and I’m like jump and then plug my ears after emergency alert I freaking get scared of unplugging my ears
Today I watched a shield storm (C-Low Severe Thunderstorm) go SOUTH into Arkansas, when storms would usually go north.
My dad said it was "climate change"... By the way I'm not a Trump supporter.
Anyone knows what the other tone is called at 2:35 ?
1050 hz tone
