    Those are the OCKs bolts and they are superior to the TDP screws.
    Yes, there will be a bolt available in the future.

      Phosphate carrier key is way better for staking without chancing cracking and truing the bottom if it isn’t perfectly parallel to the carrier

    Excellent. Love centurion. Was going to get a chrome bcg from Young Manufacturing, but then heard there's some qc issues (? my memory is a little fuzzy on that).

    Mill spec gets a rep that it doesn't deserve. Pulling my fair share of armory duty at Ft Sill and Ft Brag there are thousands of millspec M-16 and M-4s that have been in service for decades that have gone through thousands of users and countless rounds still with their original millspec component.

    • @KeterMalkuth
      @KeterMalkuth 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While that's true, the milspec for factory AR components is actually significantly more rigid than most commercial market offerings, even some of the higher end ones. That's not to say they'll remain in that spec for long, but a newly issued M4 is likely built much more stringently than most ARs you'll find off the shelf- Though obviously you'll also see some that blow the military rifles out of the water.
      Also, I think you mean "Ft. Liberty." Apparently Ft. Bragg was too controversial🙄

      Leg units, those bolts see maybe a few hundred rounds a year. Infantry units, not much more during down cycles.

    Either a contract was announced, or KAK is absolutely killing it right now. These look identical to what Centurion is offering (aside from KAKs gas vent hole that directs gas downward)

      With regards to bolt carriers, you can take 3 dozen chrome lined phosphate milspec carriers, and every one of them will perform slightly differently and have significantly different dimensions, based upon their manufacturer and how tightly they adhere to the TDP. Some will be reliable in any gun, some will be overgassed, some will be undergassed. With BCGs, unfortunately, you can't just look at the big front of the box advertising points and assume they're good. What you need to be buying is the tolerances and QC that a good BCG will provide. I'm not saying KAK is bad, I don't know. But Centurion is well known for rigidly adhering to the TDP and offering consistently high quality products. That's especially important for a chromed carrier, as many chrome BCGs are absolutely terrible.

    • @sheldoniusRex
      @sheldoniusRex ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No one ever said they are. We said Toolcraft is TDP correct, and that is definitely good enough for self-defense work anywhere you might need to use it.

    • @Enjoyer.762
      @Enjoyer.762 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @sheldoniusRex Toolcraft QC isn't great for a TDP spec BCG. Microbest, LMT, FN, Colt are better.

    • @That_Guy5575
      @That_Guy5575 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe not, but they’re certainly good enough for almost the entirety of the bell curve. FocusTripp here on TH-cam has had a lot of experience with them and found them to be excellent.
      I saw all this even tho I’m a die-hard chrome fan boi, with my main BCG being a Young Manufacturing Hard Chrome BCG with the HMB Bolt in it. Love that bcg and bolt to bits, been nothing but excellent. That being said, I’ve also found toolcraft BCG’s to have nothing to complain about.

    • @sluttybutt
      @sluttybutt ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Enjoyer.762microbest - no. My microbest BCG had lots of burrs and dents on bolt tail and gas key. My toolcraft milspec CL phosphate is just as gas efficient and in-spec as the microbest chrome
