What I was not expecting was for the live recording to be so much better than the actual recording of Loving You. Minnie Riperton was a true incredible gifted singer. I was saying that Minnie was Maya's Mother ..I know Maya is still alive :) Minnie left us all too soon in 1979 after battling Breast Cancer and her vocal abilities are flawless wow when she did the high running note... !! Minnie sings the song as a love gesture to her daughter.. the line "Maya Maya..i love you" was intended for her daughter as a token of her love and affection.
